Bowling Centers in Dallas, TX?

Hello all!

Me and a few of my buddies are going on a trip to Dallas this weekend and I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any cool bowling centers there? Anything out of the ordinary? I'll try to convience them to stop by and bowl a few games.

There are a few "high end" bowling centers, but as I've said before around here, they seem to be geared towards people who aren't serious about the sport. The rest of the bowling alleys....are bowling alleys. I dont know of any that will make you say "wow that bowling alley in Dallas was so different" or anything like that.

there in the DFW area off of Interstate 30?

It's called USA Bowl now and from what I read it's in a part of town that's becoming kinda shady. Never been there. Although being from New Orleans, shady in Dallas may be what I would call "normal" lol!

Yup, USA bowl. It's off of I35 though south of I635, not I30.

None of the owning centers are what I would call cool or anything.

I couldn't remember the exact interstate number only that it had a 3 in it LOL!!!!

I stopped in out there back in Dec. of 1991 when it was Don Carter Allstar Lanes
and I bowled quite well I had 2 300 games out of the 9 games I bowled and the
rest were well above 200.

Seen 8 guys in there that night a couple of lanes down from me pot bowling for
$100.00 per game per person or $800.00 to the winner. They tried to get me to
come down and bowl with them but I didn't have the time or the extra money on
me.

I was on my way out to New Mexico I was tired and needed to get to the hotel to get
some sleep but I should have bowled with them as I could have beat them on several
games.
