Got the ring about a month after my 831, quicker than expected.
Only option i got was the 'gold inlaid stone', i just liked the look of the squared font that they use with this option.

Looks Great JP, Nice Bowling, and Keep it up!

But I am Curious what you have to do to get a 800 series do you have to bowl 3 300 games or what?

I want one soooooooooo bad I can taste it!! Just started bowing 3 1/2 years ago at 61, but did have a 300 a few months ago, BUT a 800 is huge! Closest I have been so far a 762!! I would have to say a 800 is MUCH bigger then a 300 game!! GREAT JOB!! NICE RING!!

3 300s would be a 900 ring. You have to just bowl any 3game combo that equates to an 800 something .

First off Congrats on getting the 800 ring that is no
small feat in itself as it takes 3 games of at least 267+
to get there and it is a lot harder to get an 800 series
than it is to just bowl a single 300 game.

CONGRATS!!!

The 800 series has eluded me in all of my years of bowling. Have come close several times, 792 is high series.

That is an amazing accomplishment. As others have said even better than a 300.

Also, I am amazed at the turn around time you got the ring. I have had to wait 5+ months before for a 300 ring in the past. Wonder if it is actually Keepsake or the local Bowling Association that held it up.

Thanks everyone! The series was 262,280,289 . 30/36 strikes.
First game i rushed picking up the bucket in the 10th, otherwise i would have had around a 850.
Pretty solid in the pocket all night, a few almost splits that caved in and otherwise great carry.
My first major award, a bit humbling when you talk to someone with ' a draw full of em '

True it is humbling. Bowled Nationals with 2 guys on the team who each have 70+ 300 games and 20+ 800 series. I bowled better than both of them in Reno. I have that on my record even though I haven't bowled the 800 yet. :D

Was it on a two, three, four, five person league? Mixed, or all male?

3 person mixed, a woman we were bowling against had a 750 that night.

Mind me asking which ball you used for that Fricken GREAT series! How was it drilled? 90 percent of the credit goes to YOU, just thought it would be interesting what brand, and how drilled! What style bowler are you.... AGAIN WOW!!

Ball used was the Columbia Hyde, got almost 10 years ago when i started bowling.
Probably had my first 600 & 700 series with it too. Resurrected it last year after a 4 yr hiatus.
Its drilled with the pin a couple inches out from my ring finger, which is interesting because all my new equipment has been getting drilled with the pin above or slightly right of ring finger.
I am not sure if its just the nature of the beast, or if i should be having my new eq drilled differently. Also it has got me thinking about trying a new Columbia ball, i've never really stuck with one brand of equipment and still not sure what matches up best with my game.
I would describe my self as a 'tweener', i really like playing the down and in line which i was that night. standing on 12 putting to around 7 at the arrows out to 5-1 at break point with a lot of speed. of course i had a little room inside of that as well ;)

Wow that's a great series. Excellent job. Maybe someday you'll get a perfect 900, too (:
