Increase Your Average DVD mailing
Many USBC association leaders and members soon will receive an offer to participate in the Increase Your Average – Secrets of the Pros DVD Collection featuring Chris Barnes and Team USA coaches. You may recall USBC tested this concept to a small group last winter and we are excited to report the test was successful, allowing for many more members to receive the offer.

The program involves a member receiving a free instructional DVD to preview. Then, they have the option to purchase and receive the next DVD in the series, which also includes several free game coupons for practice, send the DVD back, or keep the DVD as a gift. This is a great program as it allows bowlers who might not have access to coaching to receive great tips without any obligation.

As you know, USBC needs new ways to create revenue and this program has great potential while also providing a service to our members. We hope you will encourage members to either purchase the DVD or send it back so another member can receive the offer. The offer currently is being sent to select multi-year members and national tournament participants. More information can be found at BOWL.com/coaching, or by clicking here. '

well in that case I'll hope to have a DVD when I get home. haven't ever gone to nationals though so guessing my odds of having been chosen are pretty low.

Have heard of other getting DVD's in the past, but I never have. Would love to see it.
Maybe we should start a DVD trade program and have it move from member to member. :D

I received one of these last year. I thought the DVD was okay, but I hate the marketing plan: Send me something that I didn't ask for, then hope that I'll either pay for it and sign up for an indefinite number of future DVDs or send it back to them at my expense. To add to the foolishness they sent several "reminders" to pay for something that I have absolutely no obligation to pay for.

Here's a thread about the one I got.

Update they finally quit sending notices asking to join or send the dvd back.

I got three DVDs total in their series. Then got a notice to pay for the second one, which I already had. Sent them a letter with all my details and never heard from them again. I don't know if there was a 4th DVD in series or not. I am a freak for getting books and videos to help me learn.

I received the video a while back and I haven't decided if
I'm going to keep it or send it back yet. It really bugs me
that they send you something that you didn't ask for then
they keep bugging you to pay for it.
