Hi, everyone. I'm planning on getting new bowling shoes in a matter of days if I can. I just wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions on brands. I'm looking to buy black-colored shoes. Inputs, anybody?

Dexter's SST8's with the interchangeable soles

Second this. I love mine, and when you wear out the toe it costs $18 to replace instead of the entire shoe.

Sounds like a strong choice. I think I'll take it into consideration.

What do you mean by "wear out the toe" exactly? Just to be sure O.o

Just that... Wearing out the toe on the sliding foot to where you're either sticking or using ez-slide every frame

Ohh ok. I plant anyway, so I don't have to worry about sliding. Thanks for the explanation otherwise(:

You mean the 'sole' is replaceable, toe drag wears out a non replaceable part of the shoe or has the possibility of knocking loose the sole if removable.

If you plant, you may not want the overkill of the SSTs removable soles and heels. Just stay with Dexter and go with leather and you will be good. If you are looking for more traction for planting, then of course go with the SSTs and adjust your soles and heels for more traction and planting.

Just my humble opinion...they are made well, last a long time, and are extremely supportive yet comfy. Although, I had some Etonics that were great. A lot of people are showing up with Pyramids, but I know nothing of them.

They seem a bit pricey, but I'm assuming they are for a reason. They must be that fitting.

When I go to buy new shoes, I am going with either the SST8's or the 3G ultra Tour. friend has a pair and they seem really nice. Again though, if your not sliding you may not need the $170+ on the interchanables.

ooh whoo that sounds a bit much. But I'll see what I can do

If you want a cheap long lasting starter shoe get the dexter Jason's Roman numeral whatever. Best bang for your buck.

Thank you for your input, sir. I just had a gander at the Jason's numeral shoes, and they look very nice, and the prices seem to be spot on. It is probably better if I start off slow with a starter pair anyway.
