So many brands, and flavors out there, which one, if you had to choose, has the baddest, hot, bowling balls! I must admit, it might have a lot to do with your age. I defiantly think DV8 is geared to the young, and that would include Iceman!
I think total package, my choice would be STORM! Not overstated, but nice clean and to the point!! (not fair to mention aroma,,, since none of the others follow storm in that regard.)
Also, WHAT IS YOUR ALL TIME FAVORITE LOOKING BALL EVER CREATED! In my short bowling carrier, I would pick one that has never been made yet,, The ICEMAN BALL!! I think it would be ONE COOL Bowling ball, and I would be the first to own one!!

I second that. DV8 makes some damn good bowling balls. I wish I had looked more into them when they first came out in the market some 2 years ago. But now, I'm a deviant starting this season :D

Storms marketing, schemes, visuals, etc. are ahead of the rest of the market by far.

i think dv8 has a cool color scheme as well as the blacklight effect if say your house uses them during cosmic bowling

ive also taken a liking to jet and lord field

Nowadays I don't see much variation. Seems like all the balls are some pearl shiny pattern. No way to tell them apart.

I'm a Storm fan, but a close second is Motive for me......

As far as colors go I would say DV8. However the best logo's by far is Motiv

storm1, what's your opinion of the motiv ball like as far as performance?? Is it your go to ball? I notice on your current arsenal, you have that brand listed first!?

Of the 23 balls that are in my arsenal 17 are Motive and I just orsered 2 of the new Tribal which comes out 10/1. For me I am very impressed with the continuation through the pins. I also like the conolled ball motion they posses. Even their skid/flip balls are very predictable. For my Monday league (high friction synthetics) I had been throwing 2 AMF pieces (Cbra se & Nighthawk Oearl drilled weak). However I just drilled a QZ2 Blur snd a Recon (silver) to replace them. I have drilled 6 additional balls in the last 3 week in preperation for my return to bowling. The QZ#& Recon for Mondays, A Thrash Frenzy & Venom Toxin for Friday Morning a 2 Sigma Hybrids for Tournaments. I also just picked up a 3rd Primal Scream which I will drill 5.5x45x35 and polish

I don't if I could pick just one company that makes THE best looking balls. It seems like every company has a few that look pretty cool. Although I'd agree with the previous posts....if I had to pick one it would either be Storm or DV8.

One of the reason for having si many is that this area is primarily Roto grip, Being in the shop I prefer to tell them this is what the ball does vs this is what they say it does, As a result of the success I have had throwing their equipment It has helped sales in the sho.I had been throwing 900Global/AMF untill about a year and a half ago.I was impredded with the first 3 I drilled and progressed from there. In most cases I will sell a ball when I drill something new. Most balls have less than 30 games when I sell them. In the case of my Motiv stuff I have 3 that I have thrown for 100+ each with no loss in reaction. They are still at OOB surface and have always been cleaned., no deoiling or resurface

Motiv is rapidly growing in popularity in this area.

And I have to admit they do make some great looking balls (the new Tribal included)

They also have the advantage of their Logo system looks sharp on every ball.

Has a motiv ever been given away on Bowlingboards.com? I guess all the give away ball's are given by mfg's?

My guess is that Storm and Brunswick have bigger marketing budgets than smaller brands like Motiv and Global 900.

prob because theyre more popular brands and for whatever reason people grow attached to one company so if you put the 2 biggest brands in there more people would enter vs a smaller company

also id say bruns and storm have more balls to spare for giveaways n such

I would say your both correct!! Makes sense! So Brunswick, (and it's sister companies), and Storm are the companies that give a ball a week to bowlingboard.com? Any other bowling ball manufacturing companies donating balls?

My understanding is that this site is part of bowlingball.com - thus, they are probably the ones giving the balls away. Perhaps the major manufacturers offer them balls at a lower price than the other manufacturers bases on supply and demand.

Not sure how any ball could be "purtier" than the Sotrm Marval Pearl...

I'd say Track. Whether it's my favorite, the 300A...or any of the other Track balls...visually...I don't see anything else out there that compare. Which might be why they are so damn expensive.

The ball is made by Seismic. It is a ewnake of their original release the Kinetic Solaris. After the Original release rhat changes their name from Kinetic to Seismic so as nit to be confused with the Track Kinetic balls of that time

I started with a Storm ball and never really liked the motion. I promptly switched to Brunswick and have been throwing them ever since. People always complain about how rolly Brunswick equipment is, and I love the predictability they provide. Also, the plant may be in Mexico, but the major of the workers cross the border daily to go to work. For all the people who say it's costing people in the US jobs, they should do more research. Billy O said in a podcast on above180.com the details of that move and why they did it.

As for Brunswick's equipment, I'll admit, some of the balls are not very attractive. I absolutely love the look of the Meanstreak Beatdown though. I love blue though, so that may be a biased opinion.

Brunswick had only two options. Either move to Mexico or shut down bowling ball manufacturing.Between taxes and labor costs they were loosing too much money. As the plant in Mexico is only about 30-45 minute drive 75% of their workers are american
