We had a great time! Aslan saved the day and rounded out our team!!

They announced some fairly big changes at Carter (AMF.) The main thing is they are cutting their hours waaay back. Some weekdays they won't open until 4pm. The league rewards are still pretty good. Two free games a week and $2.37 a game anytime (up 37 cents.) You can't beat that price in Orange County. Some centers have deals but they start at 9pm. That's almost past my bedtime!

I guess the league prices went up as well. El Cheapo is $10, still a great deal.

They stopped the free practice on Wednesday afternoons, but it was getting a bit ridiculous. 20-30 people from the Pacific Islander League would show up, one guy would sign in, and they would turn it into a free league day. :confused:

I'm happy they kept the two free games a week and the league bowlers game prices low!

I bet they stopped the youth leagues on Saturday mornings too, huh? That is assuming they had a youth program at all.

I think Bunny uses the term "rounded out our team" to mean, "we really needed a sucky male...so now we have one." Obviously thats not how she meant it...but that was the unfortunate reality. But...I SHALL improve...because...well...because I can't do 349.... This is a league game, it determines who goes on to the next round robin....am I wrong!?

At this point...I'm 3x as motivated to improve....just so I can put a sock in the Iceman's cornhole. I have no defense against his mockery as long as I'm bowling in the 116-129 range. But once I'm averaging in the 190s...yeah, then I WILL BE THE ICEMAN...and he will be, "Iceman's Beautiful Assistant". :cool:

Like, out of frustration, when I mumbled..."We can't lose to a beginning bowler and a handicapped guy." I wasn't really trying to be "rude"...like Walter ...I felt like saying "what? Am I wrong? Am I wrong?" But yeah...perfect example of, "No Walter. You're not wrong, you're just ***hole."

Actually...the beginning bowler lady was kinda cute. Since my two lovely (very lovely) bowling partners are married...happily...I might have to put some patented Aslan moves on her as the season progresses.

They're not open till Noon on Saturday and Sunday now, so no more weekend morning leagues. Monday and Wednesday they're not open until 4pm. I guess it's better than BK and the AMF's all closing.

We have two AMF's fairly close and couple more that are a bit farther. The hours seem so Willy-Nilly. All the AMF's hours are different. I'm not driving further to an AMF that's open. I'll just go to a private center. We are very lucky to have so many centers in our area to choose from!

Congrats to Bunny!

After having the high scratch series (female) last week at 162...she shattered that my bowling over 180 (I think TWICE) last night! So her name should appear as holding the season highs in handicap series, handicap games (might have BOTH of the top 2 spots), and scratch games (female, and again, possibly BOTH of the top 2 spots). She was 2 frames away from a clean game in both her good games...AND....AND...in game 1 (I believe) she picked up what I think was a 3-7 split.

The spare ball was missing early...but man...Bunny turned it ON and was killin it last night! In one game...open frame in the 1st...then marks all the way through till a split/open in the 10th!

Micael Bowtonz now in sole possession of 2nd place!!! WooHooo!!

Bunny had yet another solid night and also picked up a nice 5-10 split!!!

And Bud not only had one game in the 230-250 range (I can't remember, I think a 237)...but picked up a 4-7-6-10!!!...first time I ever saw that picked up in person!!

ANTI-Thank You to the bowling alley for deciding to play league games on Halloween and not tell anyone. Not only did I bowl like complete POO in the make-up game...but I am frickin exhausted today. My feet, legs, back, arms, chest, fingers...all sore and I still got sanctioned leagues tonight!! :mad:

The long break in between hurt our momentum for sure. Which was total BS being kicked off our pair for the make up games and no one even bowled on them!

Mrs. Harris bowled out of her mind for a few games with her helicopter ball and Bud finally found his groove!! He's a riot to watch bowl. That dude cracks me up!!


Bud has submitted a future team name for our consideration...

Yeah, I thought since we did so well in the first game…and finished earlier than usual, it would be a good time to do the make-up game since we were all there. But then I just bowled so terribly…and the next morning was just exhausted. I'm used to bowling 6-9 practice games with no problem…but for some reason doing 6 league games in a night just killed me.
