I am looking for a bit of advice on what to do when you bowl on a lane with severe carry-down. This usually happens when I go to the lanes after the league finished for the day. When my ball reaches the break point, it might hook a couple boards or just straighten out. It's like bowling with a spare ball. What do you do? Should I stop fighting it and go ask for another lane? Do people have a go-to ball for this kind of situation?

I'm throwing a Sync and a Defiant Soul, so going to a stronger ball isn't really an option. I've tried a higher axis of rotation, which helps just a little. Still, it's no fun and kind of a waste unless I can figure something new to try.

Check this video. It describes what you are experiencing and different things to do to adjust to it.

Wow, thanks for that video! That really explained a lot, and I'll have to watch it a couple more times for it to sink in.
