It is slump time...that is all....

Out of 6 league games last week, I have only won 1...............time to get the rally cap out........

Looks like it's time to get some extra practice and focus on approach, arm swing and targetting. When all else fails, dissect each piece and put back together. :) Good luck!

Been there, done that - recently. Not Fun. Relax and don't overthink things. Go back to basics. Relax and don't overthink things. It will come roaring back for you, when you don't expect it. Relax and don't overthink things. I could go on and on, but just relax and don't overthink things!

Tell me about it.

2 weeks ago I was excited about bowling and about to join my first league. Last Friday I was ready to give up on bowling altogether. This recent Monday I thought I had everything figured out. Then leagues on Thursday made me think about quitting again. Then Friday I threw my best series ever and was back on top...then yesterday and today my game is back to being horrible and I'm re-thinking quitting. It's quite the roller coaster ride. :(

Thanks all for the support....Yes, the one big thing I was told during my coaching session was to relax...the harder you try the worse it gets.

I was chatting with a friend of mine yesterday after practice, and it dawned on me that this was one of the few sports where getting all keyed up is the wrong way to play. The looser your arm swing is the better...

Exactly. I tell my team mates on my Thursday league that all the time. Just let the ball swing, don't muscle it, let gravity do it's thang!
