So I was looking for a decent price on a Hammer Rhythm and found it for like $79 at BowlerX...free shipping.

So then I noticed that the Brunswick Slingshot was starting to disappear. I was going to get it on bowlingball.com (site sponsor), but they ran out of stock. So I decided to spend the extra $2-$4 and get it from BowlerX before they ran out of stock

Then, I'm on BowlerX just trying to see what their price is on the Track300A and it was similar to all the other online stores...but when I went to their Clearance section...I saw 3-4 balls I REALLY wanted at the price they were selling them. I finally broke down and bought a Columbia 300 Encounter for about $59. That was about $80 cheaper than the nearest competitor and about $170 off original price.

So I was feeling good...but also some buyers remorse since I've amassed 3 balls in a short amount of time...all of which are sitting undrilled in my closet. But then I got a confirmation email from BowlerX saying I could take 5% off my next order. Out of curiosity, I looked back in my emailbox and it looked like I had gotten that 5% off deal after each purchase, but never bothered to really read it and apply it.

So, because there was still one ball in the clearance section that was at a really, really good price...I took a long shot and emailed BowlerX asking if in addition to the 5%, I could receive another $5.95 off which was the value of the 5% savings I hadn't taken on the last 2 purchases. They got back to my right away and said that it would no problem and they'd give me that ball for 5% off PLUS another $5.95 off.

So I'm very impressed. I like bowlingball.com better as an overall bowling site...it has a lot of cool features and I've ordered from them in the past, good service, good prices, quick shipping. But I have to say, BowlerX not only usually has the best prices on bowling balls...they were very gracious in allowing me to take essentially 12.5% off my purchase just because I was a loyal customer and took the time to ask. And all of my orders thus far have come quickly, I didn't pay shipping, and I've had no problems.

Now I have to STOP...because I'm starting to feel like a meth addict. I'm VERY tempted to go on there and get the Motive Raptor Attack or the Track 811se...but I have more bowling balls in my closet now than I'll use in the next 2-4 years....so I gotta stop. At least until they run a sale on the Brunswick Mystic Aura...my dream ball!!

glad you had a good experience. I have that new ball itch except mine is with used. Find a ball in your span and your looking at getting say a mystic aura for about $50-$90 depending on whos selling and how well you can barter

ANOTHER fine experience!!!

Not to stroke a live horse to death (just made that expression up)...but man O'man....

I decided I needed to stop buying bowling balls...I had 9 in the closet and then won one here on bowlingboards.com...so it's getting kinda rediculous!! Well...I had a good weekend at the casino (slots instead of poker unfortunately) so I broke my rule of not checking out the clearance section at bowlerx....(because almost every time I check it out...I see a deal so good I can't friggin resist!!)

Well...I saw a deal so good I couldn't friggin resist!!

But, my weakness/hoarding addiction aside....I have to admit that ONCE AGAIN...the site is friggin amazing!!! I don't know how they can afford to do what they do?! They take balls that sell across the internet for $30-$90 more...and not only do they sell them for less...they don't even charge shipping!! I got a $139 high performance ball for $69 shipped for free....ordered it Sunday and it was at my door Wednesday morning.

Very few times in my life have I had multiple shopping experiences where not ONCE have I had a complaint! So...well done Bowlerx!

So, what did you get now to fill another space in your closet?

Cliff notes: Bowling is good. Can never have too many balls. Aslan likes hoarding and horse stroking.

So, what did you get now to fill another space in your closet?

Ebonite Innovate!!!

In 2013, this was one of their highest performance balls...and then they release their new stuff and suddenly it's in the clearance bin!! $69.99 shipped. And thats pretty dang good for an Ebonite ball...which tend to be a bit pricey.

Just for comparison (to illustrate how good a deal ya can get on BowlerX):

Sears.com: $236.33 + $25 shipping
RealRecreation: $102.99-$156.99 + $25 shipping

Even for a used one on Ebay...$55 + $25 shipping!

Don't get me wrong...I've gotten some great Black Friday deals on bowlingball.com...as well as buying some wrist positioners, etc... Also good deals with free shipping. But specifically on bowling balls...all year long...the clearance section at BowlerX is about the best deals on the internet. Unfortunately, many bowlers look at the new releases from the companies and think, "Whoa!!! I gotta have THAT!! It's got "new technology"!!" When in reality, the cores are usually the same as in the past few releases as are the coverstocks in most cases. There hasn't been an "earthshattering" technology advance since reactive resin was first introduced. In my opinion.
