I saw this last night on storms youtube channel and was like "wtf...?" Polish your ball has had this forever, I really can't believe that a)someone has so blatantly copied it and b) that storm is promoting it.

Also, I'd never use this thing... I love my ball spinner though.

A ball spinner is irreplaceable! it keeps you ball in place so that you can accurately resurface the 4 or 6 side technique!

No way to control the ball surface to get an evenly very accurate resurfacing! I still say the best item a serous bowler can get to improve his game is a ball spinner, and then, ( As I am doing to this moment learn to use it to adjust your balls to your style of bowling).

After bowling to get the oil off, it does an incredible job!

I simple hold a white cotton hand towel that I purchase from Costco, 60 or so for under 20 bucks,,, I fold it into fourth's then hold it on the left side of the ball with slight pressure, turn on the spinner, and spray the simply green/alcohol mixture onto the ball as its spinning up and down the ball with the spray!

DOES ONE HECK of a JOB and much better then by hand

I also notice that the ball spins with the cup they use in the same direction! I use a holding device like the one they use with my spinner, and It can be held stationary, instead of spinning with the ball.... accuracy is very important when resurfacing IMHA, and no way you can do that with the above system.

With the handheld one, isnt it easier to make the ball un-even?

I would think so yes.

Yes it could but it would take a while , unless not careful and your really bad at it.

The drill mounted one would be more likely to get you out of round maybe, because of the faster speed etc. you'd have to be more careful to do it evenly.

But if you can't afford a spinner and all your doing is simple surface changes, maybe going back to OOB at most. This would be a fair low cost option for someone.
