BREAKING NEWS: MICHAEL shoots his SECOND 300!!

I just received multiple text messages from friends at the bowling alley that Mike shot his second 300 (both sanctioned) in his league tonight! Can't to wait to hear from him. He shot it his first game. I hope he has a great second and third game and can get that 800 he's been chasing! C'MON MIKE! Anyway, I'm sure he'll be on here later tonight with the news himself!

All he needed was a strike in the 9th, and a strike for the first ball in the 10th, and he would have had it wrapped up with at least 5 pins the second ball in the 10th. TWO MORE!!!!!! DAMN! I'm so... I don't know. I really wish he'd have gotten the 800.

I'll update you all and let you know what the series ends up being. Regardless, it's going to be a monster series and a great night from Iceman.

I did hit the pocket but no carry, in the second game!!!!!!!! They looked sweet!!! Then the last game 8 strikes, and I thought here we go!!! Lanes started getting REAL DRY, 10 of us bowling one them.... I said to myself,,, move left,,,, James, our capt, and drilling pro,,, said don't more and throw it harder,,,, will, it came up high in the nine and and spared in the 10 for 264... !! O well, hey I just stared bowing sanctioned leagues two years ago at 63!

I am leaning a lot form friends, and this web site,,, thanks bowlingboard, and all my friends on this site!! I know I will get the 800 this fall!!! I can feel it deep down in my ICE COLD BONES!!!! ICEMAN LOL

that middle game I had all but one right in the pocket, but 7 and 10 pin leaves,,, I decided not to move, and it was a mistake!!! I moved in my last game the 264, but actually needed to move my target in the last couple frames, it came up high!! OOOOO WELL there will be another day!!

Yes I have a GREAT BUNCH of young friends I bowl with lol....LOL.....I laughed my ask off when I got home and read them!!! Jason The Real Deal, a true Bowing God, made me Laugh so hard I about split Ice!!!

On the series, I used one of my older balls, The Virtual Gravity Pearl, by Storm! It's been working real well for the last few weeks, since I dug it out! I used that ball for the whole series!

I think there is something to be said about making adjustments, rather then going through 5 or 6 different balls on league night! (SOMETHING Jason has been saying for some time now to ICEMAN)! The Bowing God is right, IMHA!!!

We should have won all four games, but two of the teams best bowlers, had a bad,,, BAD night for some strange reason, BUT IT HAPPENS!!! I wanted to beat that team for personal reasons that I won't go into, but it was not to be, we split.

We had a BLAST, least I did! I did the Rocky song with my fist in the air dancing around the bowling alley!!!

It was a night I will never forget....

I guess plugging doesn't hurt a balls performance! LOL First 300 back April 14th was with a brand new ball Storm IQ fist outing! Now this one with a ball that has been plugged I believe two times, and another 300!

We do have a great team with Biker Larry 214, Hannging Chad 221, Manic,(wife) 160, Iceman at present time 206, and the bowling GOD, The Dude Jason, with a 244 average!!!! Needless to say we get very little handicap! Last week we gave 213 pins and still won by over 100 the first game! Awsome team that when someone is down, and it happens,,, the rest of us step up to the plate! Great chemistry!! I will take this team with me to my grave!!! LOL!!!

We won first last year, and some of the teams have brought in some high rollers, to knock us off!! But all I can say is this: NOT!!! Nota going to happen! :p

Well I was give the ring on the left Yesterday in league, along with a 300 gun salute!! It was given to me by president of the united states! (He flew in from Washington DC just for the presentation)! Many movie stars showed up for the surprise event!

I had no idea how many stars were fans of Iceman!

All I can say is ....IS I was overwhelmed! Here is a picture of my two rings! One on the left, (as your looing at them), is my last one, the one on the right I earned 6 months ago... two in a 6 month time period!! Not bad for a newbie at 65! You get a free 300 ring once per year if you shoot 1 or more 300s during that year; correct?? And I believe you can buy additional rings or other keepsakes if you choose. Is that accurate? So did they give you the first one free and you had to buy the 2nd one?

Question 2: Due to the outrageously high price of gold…they now give you some sort of "goldlike" metal rings rather than actual gold. Is that what those are made out of? Or did you pay extra to get some gold or did you go ALL OUT and pay the $845 for solid gold?

Question 3: They were shot 6 months apart, but are not exactly the same. Do they give you different options in terms of design?

1. Each year you get one "free" ring, essentially the most basi design for the year. Any upgrade to metals etc. are on the bowler to pay for. Each additional ring you pay for on your own. Icemans first was done this summer, that would mean it is from last bowling year as the year begins August each year.

This year, 2013-14 bowling year, is the last time they will give one per year. Beginning in 2014-15 bowling year, they will go to once per lifetime awards.

I can't answer your FIRST question about how many you get now!

Question 2: you can accept the free one, that is ((((NOT WHAT THEY USE TO BE, Gold with a real diamond)))), I have seen a few of them that go way back, they are cool!! You will get a brochure that has optional rings, with even more options as to what you want on the ring all at extra cost! Yes you pay more for the gold! Did I go all out??? Maybe I did, and maybe I didn't!! LOL
Your question about different options on the ring, YES, they change from year to year, but you do have several options, you local bowling alley has the catalogue along with all the various rings, and awards!

After 2014, If you get a 300 game you will it what's called a lifetime 300 ring! So you could get one that has a number on the front, and maybe send it in to have it revised when your number of 300s grow! I have seen the ones that have how many 300s!
I still qualify for ONE more 300 ring because of the dates that I received mine! My next one will be the Lifetime ring!
I want the 800 real bad,,, running out of time,,, got a late start!

They do use a metal colored to look like gold called Golden Siladium. Just look at the options on the link I posted above.
