Getting a GOOD PAP

Does it make ANY difference what type of ball you use to get your oil rings?? Is it better to use a matte/pearl/plastic.... doesn't it effect where the rings are created.

What about the way the ball is drilled that you throw? Can it effect the location? What about a Tri, Grip drilling? If I used it, (and it does spin differently the the standard fingertip, would that effect the lay out for PAP?

Generally they say to use your least flaring ball to find your pap, this is usually your spare/plastic ball.

As for the Tri-Grip in the other forums some have noticed changes to theirs. So I would say find you your pap with your tri-grip ball also.

The only way you have a problem is if the ball flares so much that it can't even complete the first rotation without the axis turning. And that is actually entirely possible. So you are better off finding PAP with a low flaring ball. That being said, if your low or non flaring ball is old and the grip predates your recent grip change, you would be better off using a ball with the new grip because a change in pitches can affect PAP.

Well,,,, I guess if I want to find it on the Tri-Grip, I will have to use the Frantic, or Beatdown! I might just use the sling shot, for the standard finger tip!
I imagine the sling shot is a low flare ball... what would you use between the frantic/Beatdown as far as a guide to a tri grip pap

I will run an experiment to see the difference between the Tri Grip, and standard finger tip! Might be interesting to see the difference.

I would use the Frantic as it should be a lower flaring ball than the Beatdown. . The Slingshot should be your lowest flaring performance ball
