Subbing legality

In my league were in the closing weeks of the season(next week is the position round) and my team is currently 2 points behind first. According to my gf there is a subbing rule were you cant have new subs after X week in the season. Well last week the #1 team bowled with a new sub that isnt in their sub list. I looked on the recap sheet this week i i dont see his name in the sub list nor that he was on the #1 teams roster. The scores are there for the bowler he subbed for however. This makes me think that either the league screwed up or the team wrote down the subs scores under the absent bowlers name. I dont like to be ticky tacky like this but this particular team likes to get good subs late in the season to slingshot them up to 1st which i saw last season. The league is unsanctioned so i would assume this is something id ask my league secretary?

I would say league president or vice president. I do not like unsanctioned leagues. Why bother? What if you bowl a big series? It's like trying to staple water to a tree. No point in it. Just like open bowling. No fun for me.

Definitely say something. Either it was an honest mistake that they or the league president/secretary can explain, or they are blatantly cheating.
