I learned something new today about jasper conglomerate and although it wasn't bowling related it was of quality content.

If I won this ball I would get it engraved with SWEET then I could say dude what does my ball say and my team mate could say "SWEET".

And I could definitely bowl a 900 series with this ball.

I bowled against a guy on Saturday with "Butch" (also his name) engraved on his ball. I knew who he was and knew he was standing right there but also knew he had no idea who I was - because anyone who isn't Butch doesn't exist in his world and yes he speaks in 3rd person - so I walked up and I said who the hell gets their name engraved on their ball nowadays that is so 1970. The look on his face was priceless and then he got mad about it telling me that's my ball with a rude look. It was a good way to get off on the right foot, lol. He's a jerk anyways.

So true. Of course the balls one the rack now are more than just black, black, and black. I still occasionally get my name ingraved but more out of nostalgia than anything else. Heck most pro shops don't even ask about doing it anymore.

I'm picturing either a game of naked twister with a Dude bowling ball in the foreground or a more conservative photo of both of them holding a Dude bowling ball wearing matching Christmas sweaters with the caption "Like life, bowling doesn't need a Diva." or a more controversial "Someone just took their new Dude out of the closet for league night." :eek:

Either way...I'm not sure thats the marketing direction DV8 was really hoping to go in regarding the release of the "Dude". :confused:

Speaking of that...why don't we see more TV commercials for bowling related products? I haven't watched bowling on TV in awhile...I'm sure there must be some bowling commercials at that time. But as I try to recollect...I think the last "bowling related" tv commercial I saw was on the internet during an old 1960s match and the commercial was for Brunswick bowling balls.

Well, since my current alley is switching to becoming a haunted house…I'm now even more psyched about getting this ball!!

There is but one Dude in the Kansas City MO. area code of Parkville Mo.,, and that Dude is the inspiration for the creation of this ball! It's not only the fact that he has been know to help older disabled adults make it across intersections, he also returns lost stray animals to their rightful owners.

He is one outstanding citizen that even pays more then he has to, because Uncle Sam needs the money!

He is a giver not a taker,,, but because of his giving, caring nature, he leaves nothing for himself!

I nominate Jason, know on this website as THE DUDE,,, Mr 300 to be the proud winner of this ball in his name amen!!
