first off everyone should find a coach that they like and that can help you understand what there explaining

so show up at 4pm for my lesson 50 dollars well spent as always what we went over

* changed feet ( setup)

* placing the ball slightly left ( will explain more)

* adjusted timing ( yes i know you guys told me this but ill explain more)

* pick up pace 3/4

* we really didnt work on this as i showed him something i was working on on my own and he seemed to like it but changed it a little ( explain down below)

first this is all going to be tough to explain with out you seeing it i bowl 15/10 as my start at any house and adjust after the first shot so remember this cuz this is my start position but i normally point my feet at 10 hense the old saying point your body towards your mark Tom ( Tom Reid great coach look him up) said something i knew but guess i never fully understood the fact that you stand 5 boards left ( down and in players not sure how it relates to playing deep) of your mark i knew this but never understood it its due to the fact that your shoulder is now lined up to your mark thus making more of a straight shot towards your target thus better chance of hitting it these 2 things kinda are a side thing but i have 3 things to work on this is something that is easy to work on and wont affect my game immensely

2 so Tom fixed this a long time kinda i seem to push my ball to the right just a hair makes sense cuz most of the time i miss its right i use to do a push out or placed the ball over the hill ( think riding a bicycle ) i then switched to a compact drop ( hinge i think is the correct term) but when i switched i went right again its so slight that he said its not a huge issue but in a game where inches mean everything its a big deal so when he told me left he asked do you know what most bowlers will do i said go left a lot he said the good bowlers will but most will go straight cuz everyone knows you should walk straight but in your mind you are so saying go left will line you up i ended up going slightly left for this

3 "kick the ball" due to switching to this compact drop my timing was late but by me starting the ball when i kick it as my shoe lace is half way under the ball hence kicking the ball and bam timing is fixed i know you all told me my timing was off please understand i do not like adjusting my timing unless he tells me to he see's me in person and that is 100% better then a carma

now the thing that i was talking about is a way for me to play deep this is when my rev rate last time i checked was around 390-420 some where in there turns out all i am doing is cupping my wrist slowly coming down from my back swing but as of now the only way to do this is to have a big cup and my wrist cocked to the left a little and he said that is way to my over kill and would be hard for me to sustain that for more then a game or 2 he told me i didnt need to work on this yet but spending some time here and there on this wouldnt hurt

and thats my story of this coaching lesson

maybe this will help one of you guys

Yes it sounds like money well spent and yes "Hinge" is the right term.

Hinge It To A Better Physical Game by Joe Slowinski
http://bowlingknowledge.info/images/stories/slowinskifeb09.pdf

In the February 2009 Slowinski at-large, I discuss the benefits of using a hinge in your physical game. Specifically, I discuss how the hinge has a relationship with:

(*) target accuracy

(*) grip pressure reduction

(*) body tension reduction

(*) increased ball speed

really glad you found a coach you like. I'm still finding things to work on & improve in my own practice sessions and seeing improvement. Wondering if I should stick with that for now and find a coach when I hit another plateau or not...just feel like it would add too much at one time I guess

A good coach is not going to try to "fix" everything at once. He or she will pick one or two things to work on. It might be a couple small changes, it might be one big fundamental change. It all depends on how they think and what your technique is like.

Seeing one now may keep you from getting into bad habits.
