Lucky to be bowling with some pros...

I'm currently bowling on a Thursday Night Scratch Trios league run by Tom Daugherty. He also bowls on the league. One of my teammates stopped showing up after 2 weeks so we found someone to sub temporarily, but then Tom went out and got Lucy Sandelin to permanently replace him on our team. If you don't know who she is, she just won the USBC Senior Queens a couple weeks ago. I consider myself pretty lucky to have fallen into this situation.

Prior to this, I had never even met any notable pro bowlers. Last week was Lucy's first week and honestly it was a little intimidating. And I haven't had to bowl Tom's team yet, but that will probably wrack my nerves a bit, too.

Anyone else lucky enough to bowl with or against any pros on a regular basis?

We have Hugh Miller on our league and we bowl his team next week! Not surprisingly his team came in 1st for the first 1/3rd of the league. Lucy seems like a real nice lady; would love to have her on my team!!

That is pretty cool. It would be nice if you got some pointers here and there. Heck just watching on a weekly basis will probably help some.

That's cool. I actually used to bowl in junior tournaments with Chris Loschetter pretty often back in the 90's.
