Review:
The Motiv Cruel Intent is a combination of great parts. Motiv has put together the Sinister core and the Fusion shell creating a different animal than we have seen before. The Cruel Intent rolls earlier than the Primal Rage and is not as angular in the back end. I found the best time use this ball was when the Rage was a little too long and I needed an earlier read. The Intent keeps the pins very low and there seems to be a louder bang when the ball hits the pins. The Cruel Intent is a big hooking ball just under the Talon. Polishing the Intent lessens the total hook but maintains the same type of roll. This keeps the backend predictable, and on our house shot testing only slightly more angular in the back. I enjoy this ball equally either sanded or polished.
On our fresh house shot I was deeper than my other videos and the ball read the oil very well and the carry was great. I also had the opportunity to throw this ball at the Hoinke tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio where I have to play in around 12-15 and the ball helped me score very well. Not only will this ball be a great piece for league, it will find a solid spot in a tournament arsenal.
Motiv has made use of another great color combination and logo. Customer attention is drawn to the ball then when drilled, they find out how great the balls are.
Summary:
The Cruel Intent is a big hooking powerful
ball from Motiv.
Great color and logos
Predictable and strong
Handles oil easily
