I talked my son into bowling on a league with me this fall. Mike, (my son), had never NEVER thrown a finger tip ball, and had only bowled with alley balls a few times in his life, he is a golfer!

He is on a great team, with James, Gene, another Michael, and Me,,, 3 fricken Michaels!!

So they all call me Iron mike, the other Michael that is 6-5 and 289lbs we call big mike, and my son that's 6-3, 200 we just call mike! Very confusing,,, at first!

ANYWAY mike started out with a 170,,,, and now is throwing 600's each of the last 2 weeks! Last week a 638, this week a 621!

He is an animal!! Like I tell everyone, HE HAS ICEMANS DNA, ONLY MUCH A MUCH YOUNGER BATCH!! LOL

I would bet he hits a 700 before this league ends,,, he can string a series of strikes, and he is picking up how and when to move pretty fricken fast!! I would not also be surprised if his average doesn't wind up around 200 his first league!!

I think I am in Trouble, but very proud of his talent and bowling ability! He has come a long way in a very short time!

Next year the league will, instead of an average cap, put a cap on the number of Michaels allowed per team. Maybe even limit the number of Pences that can bowl on one team!

LOL,,, VERY funny!! Yes the Michael thing was,,,, Michaeloulus! LOL J, everyone on our team,,, Gene, 230 average, James about the same and the bowling Pro at our lanes, all say they can't believe the talent he is showing after just a very short time of bowling! First league!! I will film him in the near future so all can see iceman's talented 40 year old son!
He still has a lot to learn, but already kicking butt at this early stage!

What a DREAM team that would be,,, Michael (my son), Jason from the planet Bowlua mr 300, Gene the strike machine, James the incredible hulk, and Iceman!

Yes the dream team!

Pete my middle son, also got bowling equipment for his birthday this last summer! He gradtuated from Park University here in Parkville Mo. and went on to get his masters degree to teach!

He started out with us this fall, but teaching, grading papers, lesson plans,,, It was just too much for him so he had to drop out, but wants to bowl with us this summer,,,, maybe a four person team with my wife... It won't be six-pence, lol, but it might be 4 pence J...!!!! (our fall league starts at 6:30, and he wasn't getting home till almost 10pm, and had a long drive to the school where he teaches) I need to find a Friday night, or Saturday league for all of us!

It strange how my boys were born,,,,

1. Michael June 14th flag day first born

2. Pete, July 15th middle son

3. Nick Aug 29 youngest

Here is what's strange,,, add the first born, with the middle born, and you get 29,,,,, the exact date of the youngest!
Even their order was in line! Oldest to youngest!!

Iceman man was born in September......

Anyway, I think Pete, who looks like a NFL tight end, will be joining us this spring on a league!! Looking forward to that!

Almost forgot to mention, Nick my youngest son is now a police officer in the city where I live!! They hired him out of the academy the 20 of November!

He did get nothing but bowling stuff from me for his birthday also.... but he is into recreational bowling only,,,, got him a Zombie DV8 ball shoes and matching bag! (I am working on him)!! LOL

MIke my oldest is still thinking very positively about putting a single bowling lane in his new house he is designing, along with a half court basketball, and workout room!

I am going to have more a little closer to him now!! (:)

how would you oil a lane inside your house?

how would you oil a lane inside your house?

The company he is going to hire, has a kit that comes with the lanes that they install. It includes an oil machine, and Brunswick Pin setting machine. They also give you classes on how to use, and fix mior problems,,, I will post the web link here! The whole think a lttle over 100,000!

He has communicated with them by phone, working out all the details....Mike graduated from ASU, and was a business major! He knows money, and how to make it! (:)

So it's right at about 100k...?

I'm thinking the bank will not lend me this in a home improvement loan... which is too bad, I have the space in my basement :(

Don't tell them specifically what it is for - just get a home improvement loan. For all they know you are finishing your basement or doing upgrades. It's really not an issue of what you are doing it is an issue if you have that much equity in your house. If you do you could get $1,000,000 loan, put it all on black at the casino, lose it and the bank could care less as long as you make the monthly payments.

Mike, my oldest will probably pay cash for the lanes! He was a business major and boy does he know business! He has a GREAT job, and almost has his 500,000 home paid for! So the loan on his new home will be very low, after investing the equity from his current home back into the new one.:)
