 That was a wonderfully "grabby" title...it just PULLED ya in!!

The question is this...

I've noticed in one of my leagues...that there are at LEAST...3...probably more women in the league that are going "out of their way" to distract other players with their enhanced "physique". And yes Bowl1820...I'm trying real hard to present this question/topic in a way that stays very much family appropriate.

Think of the scene from the movie "Kingpin"...where the woman puts her hair in pigtails and puts on the schoolgirl/farmgirl outfit on and jumps around to distract opposing players.

Now, I admit that it's generally just ONE team that is causing a ruckous...and they have seemed to tone it down a bit lately...so maybe somebody said something. But they have this one lady...who has been noticeably enhanced...who has worn some VERY low cut blouses...and has done other stuff such as:

1. She'll jump around with a "frowny face" after missing shots...causing things to bounce...and it appears rather deliberately.
2. She'll randomly run up to oposing players and "hug" them.
3. It's a team with 3 women on it and they've been known to "congratulate" each other by kissing or just general "non-PC/non-family" type congratulations.
4. The main culprit will also sort of flirt/talk with you if you're up next to her when she's bowling.
5. And more than one of the ladies...who are obviously enhanced...like to hang around the ball return bent over.

Now...at first...I didn't really think much of it. I mean, their team seems to behaving fun and are polite and generally seem to be stand up folks. And I love a "show" as much as the next warm blooded male. But I don't remember going to the alley with my grandpa and uncle and father...as a youngster...and seeing this type of thing. And while it's mainly the one chick and the one team...she's not the only one. And I'm surely not the only one that has at least "scoffed" at it...many of the other women in the league...some of the more serious bowlers...and the bowler WIVES....have appeared less than appreciative of this new distraction "strategy".

Maybe it's nothing...maybe it's just in my head...but you're telling me a grown woman almost falling out of her shirt...around 40 years old...in pigtails...jumping around isn't at least a little bit intentional?

Last time we played them...I was getting kinda irritated by it after Game 1 and decided to counter her little game...and during Game 3...when she came over to me before my shot to randomly hug me...I actually stopped her and said "hold on a sec...gotta get this cherry stem out of my mouth". I pulled out a cherry stem I had tied with my toungue...placed in my pocket (didn't think ahead as to what I was going to do once I pulled it out)...and then walked up to bowl. Did it throw her off her "game"? A little. She was kinda "taken back". But it dind't mess up her bowling...because it's hard to further mess up a 102 average. It was more me just trying to "put the wall up" and say, "okay...I get it...ha ha...you're cute...but I think I'll bowl now."

I don't know...maybe it's just this particular league...maybe it's the whole "California thing"...maybe because we sweep in Vegas...I don't know. It's just something I've noticed here in the first few months...that I hadn't expected.

If you go to church, esp Catholic, You will see women wearing shorts half way up their, don't ask me.... well,,, lets just say much different the days not long ago, say the 50s they dressed very conservatively, and with a veil over their heads, with pure white gloves,, much like the barkas that many middle eastern women wear, covered from head 2 toe!!

Yes my Californian friend,,, times are changing!!

Times changed back in the 1980s around these parts. This has been the norm for a long time. If you get distracted by an eyeful of boob, or the guy at the counter calling mystery game or the UPS guy delivering new bowling towels to the pro shop then you need to find some inner peace or something. Or a different sport.

I think the worst I saw was church when I lived in Illinois; a little farming community. They sort of relaxed the dress code because many people didn't have much money and some were working the fields so their gonna be in jeans and what not. Well...church being on a Sunday...1/8 of the congregation would show up wearing either Packers or Bears jerseys. And the one family that always volunteered to bring the "gifts" (Catholic thing)...the entire clan of about 5...mother, father, and kids...all had Packers jerseys on. It was obvious that they were doing it on purpose to "show up" the Bears fans. I think finally after over a year of doing it...the Priest or somebody said something...because they stopped doing it every Sunday. But Iceman is correct...back in my youth...you wore suits to church and women wore dresses...no exceptions. Anything less fancy than black jeans was considered blasphemy.

Hey...I'm a world renowned horndog...so let the party begin!! Bunny knows I'm like Walter....I don't care. Last time the one lady played her "game" of bending over the ball return to distract me...I just stood there and stared until finally she said, "oh...sorry, am I in your way?" And I responded, "Hell no...I'm just enjoying the view." But where I get pissed/annoyed...is when they do stuff like that...and then you say..."nice cans"...and they look at you all disgusted. Ya can't have it both ways. Ya wanna dress like a street walker in a shirt 2 sizes too small with no bra on...guess what...you're going to get the reaction. Ya can't get the reaction then pull a 360 and say, "that guy is a perv...he stared at my chest." They start pulling that ***p...I'm gonna show up on league night bowling in this and wait for stares so I can say, "Perv...quit staring at me!"

Don't you guys have to wear mandatory matching jerseys? Every league I've played in here has dress codes.....The only time I've ever seen cleavage in a bowling center was during open bowling.

Team shirts disappeared in my area about thirty years ago. I have seen a few teams recently with matching shirts but they seem to be few and far between.

Really? Wow....I guess as usual, Switzerland is behind the times :D

Up until last year, the nationally sanctioned league I played in required men to wear black pants. No jeans or shorts were allowed. Since the organisation is part of Swiss Olympic, you also can't drink alcohol during competition (sadly, that rule is still in place :(). But the jersey rule is still strict in that league....if you don't have matching jerseys, the team is disqualified for that evening.

The company league I play in though is much more relaxed.....if you forget your jersey it's no big deal (as long as it's not a regular thing), and they are pretty lax with new teams that don't have new jerseys when their first season starts.

I like Switzerland for SO many reasons!!

1) Pretty much the hottest women in the World.
2) Swiss army knives.
3) I think they have that really cool social law where the head of a company can't make like 100 times or more than what the lowest paid person in the company makes.
4) Sanctioned leagues...wear jerseys..or take your *** home!!

Although, I will admit...as an ignorant American I "may" have some of those facts mixed up with Sweden...which is also an awesome country for probably most of the same reasons. Jealous.

In all the leagues I've ever sanctioned league I've been in, or even seen, there have only been a handful of teams that wear matching shirts of any kind.

We need to find Aslan a WOMAN!!

Yes, but what would you do with no cleavage in league play?

Probably bowl better and not drink so much. You have to realize...great cleavage is only a good thing for a guy...if you're taking it home at the end of the night. Seeing great cleavage but not being able to do anything with it is like being a valet and parking really nice cars. So for me...it just distracts me and ultimately depresses me and ultimately makes me wanna drown my sorrows in gin. :(

We need to find Aslan a WOMAN!!

While I don't think it necessary to make it billboard sized....I agree with Iceman.

And due to financial restraints surrounding the holidays as well as moral issues...I'd strongly prefer it not being a woman I have to "pay" for. Paying for dinners and such...I mean, Aslan is an old school gentleman so thats perfectly expected. But if its a woman that starts the date with, "Okay, put the donation on the table"....I'd prefer to maybe "pass" on that. That can be an expensive habit and I'm just too much of a hypochondriac concerning communicable diseases. I'm not passing judgement on others...boys gotta do what they gotta do to pass the time when there's no lanes open at the bowling alley...but for me personally...I'll pass on that.

Well, he did say "find", not "buy", lol.

(I couldn't imagine paying $ for it, but oh, do I pay in other ways...)

Lol.....I wish. There was a citizen's initiative vote recently for a referendum that would allow the highest paid person in a company to only earn 12 times as much as the lowest. That got shot down so hard it makes you wonder how they even got enough signatures to get it started. I think it lost something like 70% to 30%.

I've "paid for it" in about as many different ways as one can imagine. Relationships can always be compared to cars:

- Pay for play is like giving a guy $10 to drive a go kart a few laps around a track. You have fun, but you leave feeling like it was a waste of money that you have nothing to show for.

- A girlfriend/date is like leasing a car. You pay a great deal…but ya get a nice ride and when the lease is up…you can trade it in for a new one.

- Marriage is like actually "buying" the car outright. It depreciates a great deal, you're stuck with it even on the days where it isn't working right, nearly everything major that goes wrong will happen AFTER the warranty expires…BUT…it's YOURS…so you get a lot of mileage out of it and side by side comparison it is probably the more economical choice.

Would 100x be SO terrible? Whats the average salary in the US? $35,000? You're telling me there would be people crossing their arms and pouting and declaring that they couldn't possibly feed their family on 3.5 million? Thats one of the reasons this country is going to hell…you got a CEO that makes more the first HOUR of the first DAY than the person actually doing the work on the floor makes the entire YEAR. And for WHAT!? To go to board meetings and sit in leather chairs and have expensive lunches??

And for WHAT!? To go to board meetings and sit in leather chairs and have expensive lunches??Hehe....me and my buddy from work were joking about this today, justifying surfing the web while at work. So what if we spend an hour surfing the web at work once in a while, I'm sure the CEO went to the bathroom today and cost the company more than our weekly salaries :).
