I'm assuming that means they're new/haven't been drilled, just wanted to verify

I think it just means there was no manufacturing defects to the ball.....don't think it says anything as to whether it was drilled or not. Some balls have slight manufacturing defects (2nd quality) which still get sold at reduced prices. Unless you're buying it from Ebay or something though I would assume the ball is not drilled....you might want to send them a mail and check to make sure though.

Yep that's it 2nd X blem Xouts all have something wrong with them could be as lil as wrong color mix or name not right to way off pin/cg some can be very good deals but if your picky like me get the firsts as in "this is the ball we wanted to release"

Thanks, and yeah its a regular online retailer and I verified with them that the ball is new and undrilled...just wasn't sure what first quality signified

Well...I wouldn't say just because they haven't been drilled....they are automatically "first quality".

Wait....Ohhhh!! Bowling balls...my bad. I was thinking this was about something else. :p

It depends on the manufacturers tolerances. For example with 900Global/AMF any pin over 4.5 inches or I believe it's a cg more than 2 inches out of line on an asymetrical ball is a blem. Blems can also be mis-engraved logo' or color defects

I thought blem's had to do with little red bumps, (sometimes not so little on the surface of the balls!!

In reality, where I am not at VERY OFTEN, I think its a number of things, including several mentioned above.
