So I bowl in the same weds night league at the same house on the same pattern with the same balls every week. I can barely ever hit 180... I don't know why I don't know if it's mental or what because I hate the centre.
Joined a new league with some of the guys from weds nights that plays at a different centre every time. We play 6 games every 2 months. So far i've bowled in 2 of these league days and blown my average and high scores from weds league Out od the water! Each time it's a new house and a new pattern so I need to adjust quick as we get 10mins practice. Both times I've hit over 220 (which for me right now is great) and never hit below 168 (which is higher than my best weds night score in a fair while) the team we have joined (me and my brother who is my weds night partner and suffers from the same problem as me lol) only won 1 game out of 36 last year.... This year so far we have won 6/12 and only lost by a few pins on the games we have lost. Me and my brother have been carrying the team the last 2 rounds which confuses me as to why the hell I can bowl well in this league but I bowl terrible every weds night on the same pattern.
Anybody else like this? How can I combat it? I used to get really worked up on weds nights if I was having a bad game but now I'm a lot calmer. We have a laugh so I don't stress too much and I've tried changing balls/lines 100 times. I don't know what else to do

I know a good gypsy here in Kansas city on Main Street, in Gladstone!!! Just bring plenty of cash!! She can take care of almost any problem, Anyone has!

She charges according to the severity of the request! I think her standard fee for bowling different averages on different leagues is only 50.00!!

She does back her curse removers with a 90 day guaranty! "YES MY FRIEND,,, gulp,,, someone must have put a CURSE on YOU in that league!!!

NOTHING else makes sense.......

I don't know. Seems like bowling different places would cause a lot of fluctuation.

My only thought is…I may downplay "arsenals" and "spare balls"…but one thing I've learned early on after getting serious about bowling, I'll NEVER downplay the effect of different lanes/centers/conditions. I saw a fluctuation of 20-60 pins from 2 different centers I started bowling in. Started out 60…as I figured things out (and kinda got worse at the one center) it closed to 20 pins. It'd be nice if the USBC tried to keep things more standard…but we waved bye bye to that concept in the 70s for non-pro/tournament bowlers.
