Roto Grip Hyper Cell drilled

I drilled my Hyper Cell last night and shot a 257 first game with it. I started the night with my Wrecker but gave the Hyper Cell a shot in the 10 when the game was pretty much over. 3 strikes in 10th so decided to keep it out. 10 pin first shot then 7 bagger then 10 pin and then whatever else I did...

All in all the ball was hitting great, the 10 pins were due to not enough angle coming into the pocket but am really happy about the ball. I had to stand about 4 boards left of where my wrecker usually is.

I used the demo version of this ball and throw a 4 bagger, it recovered really quick even when I wasn't on point.

One day it will be mine lol

I've been thinking about getting this ball to replace my rogue cell......it looks really good.

I've only thrown 2 league games with it 257, 208 but really like it a lot.

I was told that the Asylum is basically the same ball but just cheaper. you should check it out!

I was told that the Asylum is basically the same ball but just cheaper. you should check it out! The Hyper Cell hooks a little more (perfect scale 226). I went with the Hyper Cell because the Asylum (perfect scale 194) reaction was to close to my Wrecker (perfect scale 182).

If you do a compare on the bowlingball.com site they have a lot of differences.

well I am sure there are differences, they wouldn't make the exact same ball and try to sell them at the same time lol. I was told by a dealer who told me if I wanted save a few bucks - the Asylum was the way to go.

I love both balls, I felt the Hyper Cell had more pin carry while the Asylum was a little less but still got the job done.

The Hyper Cell is the strongest cover/core combination in the Roto Grip line up with a solid coverstock designed for heavy oil. The Asylum has a hybrid coverstock; it is more like a combination of the Disturbed and Deranged and is designed for medium-heavy oil.
