Got a email from my son tonight, after I sent him one on his 645 Monday night! He was very close to that 700 after just staring to bowl for the first time on a league, and with a finger tip ball for the first time.

As you might remember I purchased his double bag, and shoes as a birthday present.

He now wants to get a asymmetrical, power ball, to go with his lights out, and plastic spare ball. He wants to work the different lines where the oil is, not just the out side boards. That 257 was awesome Monday,,,, and great series.... The last game was what kept him from throwing that first 700, after just 6 months of bowling on one league! MIke is a very successful, business man, that is ONE HELL of a golfer!! Had a College scholarship in golf!
He is very athletically inclined. Works out, got a beautiful wife, and two perfect boys of his own.

In his email he said that he would like to bowl on a two person league next just him and me! Wow,, that made my evening!

I would like to have all 3 of my boys bowl with me before I reach a point of diminishing returns!!

I think I have created a MONSTER,,, The hook was swallowed all the way down to his gut!! He was born to bowl!!

And bowl we shall, it will be fun to watch him rack up some big numbers!! For a newbie to bowling he already has a handful of 600 plus games in 6 months time!!

A true chip off the old Ice Block!!! I am sure he will go places in bowling I only dream of!! He has the gift, I can see it, and feel it!!

That sounds pretty cool Iceman....you must be really proud :).

You must have some crazy bowling genes! I don't know anybody who averaged 200 in less than a year from starting, and you guys both did it!

He's learning quick. What league are you guys going to join? Wait till summer or try to join back on the Big 22?

My son and I are on the same team on Monday nights. He's leading the league at 223. We also bowl a summer sport shot doubles league on Wood

YES,, LOL,,,, He is lucky to be surrounded by some of the best minds in bowling!! He is getting ready to buy his
first asymmetrical high performance ball. As you know he had the plastic spare, and the Lights out! He is doing GREAT with the lights out, but now wants a third ball to play the same line that James does, when the oil starts diminishing around the third game.

Remember Monday 257, 216, and then the bottom fell out. 647, I believe.

He asked me what would be a good high performance ball for him! He has high ball speed, and great revs! I told him to make sure on this ball that James uses his PAP to lay the ball out!

He is looking at the Zero Gravity by Storm, First Blood, and James recommended the new Hammer release ball, deadly aim!

Any ideas on a ball anyone?? I think he wants to move on it before next Monday!

Also drilling, he wants to be able to play the line that James uses, stand far left, and shoot across third and fourth arrow. Any good ideas on laying it out, knowing he has great revs, and reasonably high speed. ?????

I really like my First Blood. This ball really changed the way I play the lanes in the last year.

Yes MY GOOD young friend, he is learing remarkably FAST! You have to take into account he is brand new, only bowls on that Monday league, ONCE a week. No practice games, and now has a big handful of 600 plus games.

He will wait for summer, but if you can find a 3or 4 person league, that would be COOL!

Maybe Gene, Mike, Jason, and Iceman! What a fricken team that would be!

Anyway I will be checking out various options for this summer soon! Even open to other bowling lanes this side of the river.

thanks,,, I will pass that on to him, along with any other suggestions! So fare he has done some research and Fist Blood is one of his picks, along with Zero Gravity.

I wouldnt mind test driving the zero gravity. I might drill one up for heavy oil lanes that I will be going to in my traveling league about once a month.
