Just back from picking it up, had time to throw two games and here is the sheet I had printed to show the results.
WOW... Right out of the Box!

My fist hammer ball! Great ball , and very different then the Storm product, that I also like! This ball has a unique move that is going to be fun throwing... Not sure why, but it has a different feel when I cock my wrist back prior to my release. Its a great feeling in what I would describe weight distribution and how the balance feels in my hand.
I did not use the Tri-Grip on this ball, and it looked and felt great! I played around with it on used lanes that have not had oil since
Friday, so I know your pain Aslan, Mike White, and Z guy! Only bowled two games, all I had time for, but it looks like a keeper!!! (:)
I can't wait to see what it will do in my Sunday evening league, with my wife! More on the ball as I get more mileage on it! (:)

the splits happen mainly because I was more then anything else, trying out different shots,,, Playing the out side, and the inside,,,, then the second game I pretty much stayed with an out side shot. Standing at 15, and shooting 10!
If had a great look also when I was standing at 35, and shooting 15! so far, ICEMAN likes it a LOT!
funny,,, did you notice my first shot was a split, and my last one in the second games was too! LOL

Glad you like it as much as I do, nice first games with it as well.
I can't say enough about this ball, it seems to have a nose for the pocket no matter how bad you miss. It also seems to take very small adjustments to keep it working when the lane starts to break down.
It's got that luck factor for me. I throw a bunch of bad shots that end up scoring as good shots with it.

WELL LETS NOT GO THAT far, LOL,,, I hit the pocket most of the time!! Except when I was doing some experimental shots,,, just to see what it would do,,, esp the first game. Then I went back out side, and did the last game, which I was very proud of, considering it was not a fresh oil pattern,,, I did make adjustments, It wasn't like the ball had a gyro in it... LOL.... I did like the way I had it drilled, and its no a crazy hockey stick flip at the end, but a very powerful controlled loop into the pocket.
Much different them most of my other balls! I know many of the new balls, any brand have a way of helping on house patterns when you miss wide. This one is no different. But were it is different is how powerful that controlled loop into the pocket is, and I really believe it does keep the pins very low, were they do more damage, and funny, like Lane Side Review mentioned it does have a different sound with it crushes the 1, 3, POCKET like a sledge HAMMER!
It early but right out of the box.... I have to say its LOVE!! We both need to get to know one another before, I can say its TRUE LOVE!!
First impressions can sometimes be VERY misleading!!! Sunday will be the big TEST!

nice 2 get a review from a real bowler , im very interested in this ball and the new tech in it
thanks larry! My current average in my 3 year of bolwing, having started at 62 and now 65 years,,, has gone up each year as my scores on USBC show, and will show this year with two 300s!
But my average is from 196, to 204 depending on which league, up from last year. I have had not long ago
a 780 also... so on a good day I can do damage, but then on bad days,,, well I don't want to talk about it to anyone but my shrink!! LOL
So right out of drilling to bowl a 230 average after two games is quit a nice jump. A better test will be tomorrow!
I bowl on a league with 8 bowlers! I will give a report on how it does on even better oil!!
And I agree with you about the NEW TECH STUFF..... I am into that too!! (:)

Same question. Why go between different grips? Would think will give issues with consistency just like throwing different weights could. That's just me though.

I will go more into my thoughts on this remarkable ball, tomorrow morning,,, need to get re-Freeze,,, The ball is so damn HOT, that Iceman lost 5 lbs in water weight!! The ball is just doesn't give up! My last game was my best 265!
On any given night I usually go threw 2 or 3,,, even 4 balls... lol.... this ball even worked GREAT on 10 pins, when I throw it palm up! More tomorrow,,, I have a lot to say about this ball but its late.
Also some great fortune in regards to the Byte, bowling ball I wanted,,,, guess what.... tomorrow!!! LOL

If you were standing 35, and shooting 15, you weren't feeling the pain we had at Temecula.
That line wouldn't have hooked an inch, and probably been in the gutter.
Had you changed it to 35 shooting 20, it would have missed the head pin left.
Yes, it really was that sensitive.

When I say standing, in my case, I am talking the CENTER OF MY RIGHT FOOT!! (keep that in mind).
OK, MIKE WHITE, to be exact, I (((was standing at 33 and shooting 17!))) Come out here and see me do it!!
Man you are such a,,,,,How do I put it,,,,,, Forget-about-it!! I won't stoop to your negative, ( think you know it all low level) DO YOU MIND me asking,,, are you married???? I feel for who ever that person is, because I get the impression YOU ARE NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!
But when YOU call me a liar,,,, MIKE,,,, that is bull shirt!
Maybe that's what the ball does when YOU THROW it, I have seen your style, when you were defeated by Aslan! Believe me MIKE I can throw that angle period, and with the right touch, it looks sweet going into the pocket!!
It is a new angle I need to work on more, due to the fact I usually stand with my RIGHT FOOT on 16 1/2 and shoot 10.
NOW MIKE tell me I cant((do that))! My last game with this incredible ball was a 265 last night!
I might not have the years of experience, and KNOW IT ALL YOU DO, but I can count MIKE, the almighty! LOL
I don't think I have ever read anyone so condescending as YOU my friend!!! What is you PROBLEM!!!
I would suggest you go to the local Health Food Store and get yourself some ( Happy Pills!)
Some good advice, for what little it might be worth to YOU.... IF you can't say something POSITIVE,,, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF! WE here on bowlingboard.com are frankly getting Fed up with it ALL!
Ok...... I got it off my chest!!
HEY<<<< I just got an idea to keep your thoughts in one PLACE for people who like your style negative comments!
A thread called. (Grumps View) Lighten up... bud... most of us are getting tired of your negative attitude!!
HEY if they don't sell Happy Pills their in SD,,,, I can send you some!! It's never to late for an attitude adjustment!! LOL

OK, getting back to last night, and the Deadly Aim bowling ball!
One thing that got my attention was when I got home from bowling; I saved a hell of a lot of time cleaning my equipment! I used only one WEAPON all night! ONE, not even a spare ball. it worked great for a few ten pins I had, throwing with the palm up to take most of the spin out of the ball!
I know that James, my teammate and ball driller, did one hell of a job laying it out, despite what Mike White said, LOL!! (about the pin being to close to the ring finger)!
Its movement and what it does to the pins is truly remarkable from my view point. It really seems to scramble the pins in a unique low profile, even with the speed I put on the ball.
I know I have been told by a Gold Level Coach who owns a pro shop here in town that bowling balls upon hitting the pins flex, to a degree, and then expand upon impact…. Well this baby does an incredible job of FLEXING its muscle!!
Again it does make a very different sound upon impact! I am told it has to do with the cover stock, and the carbon added. One of the things that drew me to the ball was the excellent review that Lane Side gave on the ball. They are my go 2 site for information on new bowling balls. They cover many bases, and have many different views, and comments on the balls, not just video’s!
ON A SIDE NOTE:
I was talking to an older guy that, like me has a hobby of purchasing bowling balls, LOL,,, he liked the way my new ball looked, and was asking me a lot of questions about my thoughts on the ball. He said that he had a Storm Byte, that he threw maybe 30 times, but that it hooked too much for him with his lower speed.
I ask him if he wanted to sell it, he said he would get back to me. A little later he came over and said 60 bucks. I immediately pulled out the cash and gave it to him. He didn’t have it with him, but said he would drop it off with James , (my driller), this week. James is giving me a ONE TIME DEAL on the ball, that will leave me with a $105.00 investment in the almost new Byte.
The only think that makes it not perfect, is the fact that it’s a 14lb ball! But for One hundred and five bucks, why be picky. I redrilled my wife’s freight train that was too strong for her, and have had some great games and series.
My main problem is I have too many fricken balls!!! LOL
I know,,,, I KNOW coaches say don’t just between different ball weights!!! I am not sure why but it doesn’t seem to be a problem with me at all. Maybe because I am ICEMAN,,, part human and part Super Hero! LOL
Anyway it was a great night throwing my incredible new Deadly Aim, and then getting the Byte for such a great price! Life is Good,,,, and bowling is ONE HELL OF A GAME!!!

Looks good Iceman. Why no tri-grip?
Good question! I just know that some of my VERY best games and series, have been with a more standard drilling lay out. I don't have any weakness in my wrist at all, and the weight of the ball feels very comfortable even my 16lbers... but then I do wrist curls at the gym in 3 different directions, to build up the forearm.
I NOW think that the Tri-Grip is a great tool and method to be used by people maybe that struggle with hand, wrist issues. Ball feeling to heavy, or have pain in their wrists ect. I still like the LOOK it gives my bowling balls, but then in some ways I like the standard drilling look too!
I am a finely tuned bowing machine at my age! I have about 1/3 of my balls drilled that way, and will not change them. They have their place, and I enjoy throwing them. ((( I KNOW COACHES are going crazy reading this, but remember, I am ICEMAN)))!! LOL That saying: "Don't do as I do, but do as your Coaches say!" (:)
I love to experiment,,, isn't that what adds spice to life!!!!

It will be great to see, how TWO DEADLY AIMS can work together to defeat WHO EVER our opponents may be.
Remember it was Biker Larry that turned me on to the awesome power of The Deadly Aim two weeks ago!
I will be throwing it down the right side, and Biker Larry, will be projecting his down the Left side!
"Deadly Aim to the left of us,,,, Deadly Aim to the right of us.... down into the pocket of destruction rolled the two Hammers!!!"
Jason will be throwing the Dude WHERE EVER HE WANTS, with his awesome HIGH Scores! I believe Jason has the highest average on this league!
Chad will also show no mercy!! Being a 230 bowler.... Our woman bowler, is third best on this league, and on a good night can take any of them.... two weeks ago she beat all of uswith a 230 second game..... Did I say she is my wife! LOL
I can't wait to see the Two Deadly Aims thundering down the alleys, doing what they do best... Keeping the pins low, and wiping them out!!
Thursday Victory Will Be Ours...

But when YOU call me a liar,,,, MIKE,,,, that is bull shirt!
I've seen some major misinterpretations before, but this has to be one of the biggest.
These are the relevant quotes.
I did not use the Tri-Grip on this ball, and it looked and felt great! I played around with it on used lanes that have not had oil since
Friday, so I know your pain Aslan, Mike White, and Z guy!
It had a great look also when I was standing at 35, and shooting 15! so far, ICEMAN likes it a LOT!
My response was pointing out how the "pain" you felt was drastically different than the "pain" we felt.
"used lanes that have not had oil since Friday" is NOT what we had at Temecula.
I'm not doubting you were able to stand 35, and hit 15.
Let me edit the comment slightly and see if it makes more sense this time.
If you were standing 35, and shooting 15, you weren't feeling the pain we had at Temecula.
That line (at Temecula) wouldn't have hooked an inch, and probably been in the gutter.
Had you changed it to 35 shooting 20 (at Temecula), it would have missed the head pin left.
Yes, it (Temecula) really was that sensitive.
Was that whole tirade really justified?

I went with my wife to throw a few this afternoon. I pulled my Strom 6 bagger to the lanes to try out some of my other toys! When James, my teammate and ball driller brought the Byte over for me to throw. ( The one I purchased for 60 bucks a few days ago.)
Very nice ball,,, almost new,,,, LOOKED RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! Andy, didn't throw it but a couple dozen times, and it looked it.
It hard to gauge a ball on old oil! Tomorrow will be the test for both of them on fresh THS.
I will start out with the Deadly Aim, along with Biker Larry! It will look Cool, him going down the left side, and me the Right!
Who will have the best series,,,, Iceman, or Biker Larry, throwing Hammer's Deadly Aim!!???
If the Deadly Aim gives me that same awesome look it gave me Monday, I doubt I pull ANY OTHER balls out of my bag! IT worked great, throwing it palm up, on ten pins,,, only missed ONE Monday! So when I say ONE BALL ALL NIGHT,,,, I mean it!! LOL
More on it tomorrow,,,,( was it just luck,,, the first two times out?) ,,,, or will it be even BIGGER this Thursday,, now that its breaking in, and Iceman learning how to handle its AWSOME PIN Crushing destruction!

I saw at least 3+ Deadly Aim balls in my league last night and they do sound different when they hit the pins.
Different as in good? I mean overall you can sit with your back to the lanes and tell the difference in sound from a strike to anything less than a strike without even seeing it.

NO need to do that, put Iceman's name,,,, ,,, or Ice on your ball! LOL! I have a lot more respect for Super Man! We go way back, and he is one heck of a guy! You might put SUPER, short for my buddy Clark Kent!
Did I say he has a Dead Aim also???

I will have this ball by April Fools Day at the latest.
I just watched the laneside review of this ball dang me likey.
My problem is who do I get to drill it.
The guy I have been using lately is about to take off to work a booth in Reno for nationals. He is leaving someone behind but this kid is pretty green and I dont want to let him drill it.

Interesting. I was just wondering. I kind of want to try the tri-grip but talking to my pro shop guy (yes aslan please tell me I rely on him WAY TOO MUCH) he says not required for the way I throw the ball. He said it is similar to the sarge grip they came out with 10-15 years ago and he definitely said it relates to wrist / hand issues. My team mate on Saturdays should try the tri-grip because he definitely drops the ball everytime he throws it. Last time we bowled I told him what I observed. I said if you can hold onto the ball just 1-2 more seconds or like 6"-12" it would make a big difference - and it did. A tri-grip might even make more difference for him.

Biker Larry, one of my teammates, that has had his ball since it came out, WAXED ICEMANS ASK!! His last game was a 290!!! YES ALMOST A 300!! His average which was good before he got this ball, is now EVEN higher!!!
Who knows were it will end UP!! It's fun watching!
Someone ask about it holding up. He bowls several leagues at different lanes, and has over 100 games on his DEADLY AIM, and it seems to just get BETTER.
SHOULD THIS BALL BE MADE ILLEGAL!!! SUCH A HUGE advantage when in the hand of a skilled technician!!!
Muddpuppy you ask about the which way to go with the drilling? I can't answer that, But I don't see any down side to the Tri-Grip! I have listed many of the Pro's, and really can't think of any con's.
I believe that everyone should give it a try! Plug an old ball and have it drilled to try it out! Many around here, swear by it. As I have mentioned go to Face Book BP's Pro Shop and read about what Real People have said.
I know many that changed have thrown 300 games, James my driller threw another one Wednesday night, and had a 798 series with the Tri-Grip..... The ball he happened to be using was the New Roto Grip, Hyper-Cell
James does not have a weak anything, and he prefers the Tri-Grip! He has had 2 300's since January of this year.
Getting back to the subject of DEADLY AIM, ball, I was just a few pins over average, but I did do something I now regret..... I wore a pair of bowling shoes, instead of wearing my sandals!!!
My FRICKEN FEET bugged me all night, (Pain of being entombed) with out air, and pressure from the leather pushing inward on my helpless feet in need of open pure AIR! I purchased a very nice pair of those Dester SST8's, and its clear to ICEMAN that as comfortable as they are, it a NO GO Houston! ( I think I mentioned before that have fallen arches, and other structural defects in my feet that give me a form of neuropathy in my feet. Its getting better each year do to some changes in my lifestyle, and exercise, but not there yet.
I will post a picture of what I bowl in, and the vary SANDAL THAT gave me my last 2 300 games, in comfort!
as soon as I covert the file!

The team we bowled yesterday was ON FIRE,,,, I MEAN ON FIRE,,, with some of their bowlers on the low end of averages bowing WAY OVER THEIR AVERAGES..... We still should have beat them, and will next time we meet.
We won 2, and lost total pins by 24 I believe. So we are now still in First Place, with a two game lead. The team behind us won all four.
My wife was way under her average, but in her defense, she JUST STARTED TAKING lessons, and her coach said to keep her hand behind the ball and not to bring her wrist around the side! He wanted her to get in the habit of STARTING her delivery with her palm behind the ball. (He said something to the effect of "let the ball do the work".
I had NO IDEA, nor did any of our teammates that she was holding her bowling hand sideways, from beginning to end of delivery. SHE WAS Struggling last night, and very upset, but once she gets USE TO THE PROPER technique of delivery, her Coach,( that is a Gold Level Coach), said that her average will jump up to the goal she wants by the end of this season. I agree, she has a lot strength, balance and ability, and just needs to learn the proper way to deliver the ball.
Remember this bowling Friends, a team is only as strong as its weakest link,,,, Joyce will be coming back soon with her new delivery system... and when she does..... Katie Bar The Door!!! With her completely WRONG STYLE of holding the ball with her thumb pointing toward her body, she was able to bowl some great 200 plus games, one not long ago a 240,,, something! She is a bowing Warrior, that will be one of our STRONG LINKS soon!

He said it is similar to the sarge grip they came out with 10-15 years ago and he definitely said it relates to wrist / hand issues.
The Tri-Grip fitting is not even remotely like a Sarge Easter Grip!
The Sarge Easter grip uses a finger tip grip for the middle finger and a conventional grip for the ring finger.
see info here: http://www.brunsnick.com/sarge_easter_grip.html
Bill Hall's Tri-Grip fitting system is a fitting technique where they are trying to base the fit more on the anatomy of the hand so it sets in the hand better and comes off better. Like they try to do with the CLT (Center line Transfer) etc.
(CLT instructions here: http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/images/2/2a/CLT_DRILLING_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf

It would be closer to Carl Hoffmire's Max Y Grip system is trying to do, See link here: http://www.gripcheck.net/Max-y-grip_Customer_Info_sheet.pdf
The Max-y-Grip drilling procedure allows your hand to be anatomically correct on your bowling ball. The procedure DECOMPRESSES the carpal tunnel region of the hand. This virtually eliminates stress on the tendons. This is why a hand swells up when you throw a bowling ball.
A caveat with the max-y: there are those that think that it over stretches the spans, it also uses a lot of reverse pitch and it increases grip pressure.

If your pro shop guy is referring to the Sarge Easter grip, the Tri-Grip is nothing like that.
Sarge Easter has a short (conventional) span for the ring finger compared to standard fingertip,
while the Tri-Grip retains the span of the standard fingertip, but modifies the pitch angles.

I wouldn't be able to bowl in anything that doesn't slide, especially after the work I've put in lately increasing the power of my pivot step (which has increased the length of my slide). When I first started out last September, I planted for about two weeks until I realized I would be having knee surgery sooner rather than later if I didn't learn how to slide (numerous football and wrestling injuries when I was younger).
I still see this one guy in my league who is rather heavyset, he charges to the foul line, plants his foot and does some kind of half body jerking motion on release, and while he's a decent average bowler (180s I think), I can't help but wonder how much damage he's doing to his knee.

I understand you point of view, but I use a very slow, focused approach, timing my release with the speed, ( or should I say lack of speed) with my arm movement) NO strain on my knees at all)
I too played Jr, High, High School, and College football at William Jewell College her in Liberty mo. Have had water on the knee, and a few injuries thought out my years of playing ball.
I am convinced that a lot of injuries people have TODAY are core related to the crap we now call food! Plain and simple inflammation and arthritis are related!
GMO's are every where, do a little reading about what's going on with our food supply. I do organic, and you will never see me in a Fast Food establishment ANY MORE! My health has gone OFF the charts after watching what I eat, and I feel pretty damn good considering what I was told 7 years ago by number of RA specialist!
I had pain in my knees when I fist stared bowing on leagues almost 4 years ago. But now, NONE, ZERO!!
It was a slow but sure progress,,,,
My situation is honestly getting better, and better, every year. I am not at 100 percent, yet, (with my feet), but they are getting better too! Its all about lifestyle changes, and exercise!!!!!
I agree, IF MY approach was a QUICK ONE, maybe then I would feel pain! I notice their are many different successful styles that work! I study the bowlers that have Great Averages,,,, some have fast movement approach's, and some very slow. Both seem to work!
P.S. SUGER does and will cause inflammation!! Stay away for the stuff as much as possible, USE STEVIA ONLY!

One thing not to be confused with when I say slow approach, ( I meant just that, walking up to the line), but when I deliver the ball, ALL HELL BREAKS LOSE NOW!! LOL.... Nothing about my ball speed is slow! It has went UP each year, since my general health issues have been resolved!
It sounds LIKE A FRICKEN ICE STORM on a METAL ROOF, when my ball hits the pocket...... iceman likes...
The guy that sold me the Byte last week, didn't like the ball because it was to strong for him,,, ( Great guy,, GOOD BOWLER, just not much speed, or revs, and that ball didn't work for him)
I have pretty damn good speed, and a bunch more rev's then I had last year, or even the year before.
ICEMAN is getting BETTER WITH AGE!! Since you worked in health and nutrition, you must know about the CRAP called FOOD that's being put out NOW DAYS!
As I type, my wife is on her way to pick up 8 dozen local organic feed eggs, from a local farmer! We purchased a whole Organic grass fed cow a few months back, along with a local grown Hog!
We drink Organic milk, and get several products Organic for the Costco Store! Costco is on the same page, as my wonderful wife and me!!

This sounds alot like me real slow approach and super sonic ball speed.
This kind of creates a problem for me with my timing mixed with a serious amount of muscling the ball.
I saw this a few weeks ago when I did that video analysis.
Yes I can fly with my big feet but the problem is I end up upside down and all the blood rushes from my feet to my head then my feet lose feeling like when people say their leg fell asleep.

You have to throw one of these puppies! It is new technology, that does what it says! Deadly aim has a new flex-resin poured Dead-center core system that positions a super dense mass near the center of the ball, creating better energy flow throughout the ball.
Then it reinforced the outer core with one of the most durable products in the world, carbon-fiber, to create extreme energy recoil upon impact at the pins.
http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg546/imagine686868/deadlyaimbowlingball_zpsc6f08996.jpg (http://s1243.photobucket.com/user/imagine686868/media/deadlyaimbowlingball_zpsc6f08996.jpg.html)
So far Larry, and myself, real people think this just might be one of the BEST new technologies out a long time. Larry's long time is much longer then mine, I have only been bowling sanctioned league for 3 1/2 years.
Its CRAZY how it sounds upon first contact, and how MUCH MORE pin action I get, along with Larry. I had only 3 ten pins the other day, and picked 2 out of three up using the Dead Aim! (palm up delivery).
I have been ask about its durability! Larry, one of my bowling partners, has been using his for several weeks now bowing seveal leages a week., and its still his go to ball on house oil!
He is always bragging about how it has increased his average a bunch!!
I don't work for Hammer,,, its my first ball of that brand, but I must say, being a tech-know-nerd,,,, I am one happy bowler using this product,,, would like to have a couple more to drill at different positions,,,, but money don't grow in bowling establishments!!

I think the bowlers that they use are used for a reason. They are able to throw the ball so that the potential of what the ball can do is seen.
There is alot of everyday bowlers that could do justice to a reaction video. Maybe I am just a bit jealous cause I want this ball so bad.

The Deadly Aim has been a remarkable ball! Since I got mine, several others have appeared at our AMF! I decided to go Tri-Grip, to see if it can take me to another level! I had it plugged, this remarkable ball, that has been giving me some super games, and some great series.
I think the addition of the Tri-Grip might take me to that coveted 800 series! I pick it up Sunday, just before league! I will let you know the outcome! I just hope I didn't ruin a GOOD THING!! I HOPE ITS DEADLY AIM, is even deadlier!!!

Thanks guys!! Feeling MUCH better now! My back was down for the count, mainly because I went back to the gym TOO SOON!! Stupid mistake, that I will not make again! LOL I will be picking up my NEW AND hopefully IMPROVED model of the DEADLY AIM this AFTERNOON!
CAN'T hardly wait to give that puppy a try. I have noticed that lately many of my conventionally drilled grips, have been hanging up on my thumb, due to different pitchs, and layout.
I HAVE NO PROBLEM with the TRI-GRIP getting the thumb out, or hanging up. In fact I am more accurate because of that grip, plus a bonus of more rev's! I doubt I will ever go back! It took a while to compare,,, but for me the Tri-Grip works GREAT!

It looks like a flaming BALL OF FIRE, going down the lane toward its target! Fantastic look to it, and now that I have the Tri-Grip, I feel something huge is going to happen in the near future.... With the tri-grip it has that unique movement, and spin that looks awesome burning its path toward the 1, 3, pocket!
The carry is even better now with this new angle, (due to the tri-grip and how this ball of fire leaves my right hand with revolutions that only intensify the utter destruction it unveils on the helpless pins!!
I may have to get another one... before this ball of fire goes out, and is no where to be found!
I get my bowing money this week, first place on the Thursday night league, that should do it!!
Friend of mine wanted to throw mine below is a picture of what happened!! (or was it in my imagination??)! He got 2nd degree burns,,,,, or did he.... lol

Would you continue drilling balls for other people, (LIKE ASLAN), if you won around 10 million!! Or would you buy a huge Mobile Camper, with a drilling room, among other things, and head out on the road playing different bowling establishments all over this country!!
Would you take Aslan with you?? Sort-of-like-a= secret weapon when you wanted to blow some small town big fish, out of the water!!
He could keep your Camper polished, and clean.... maybe be your driver,,,,
Or would this idea, not even appeal to you...... LOL (:)

The mobile drilling thing is probably not a working plan.
It would be like pissing in someone else's pool.
Take Aslan on the road? please, no torture.
I know an excellent driller here in Kansas City, that is and X pro bowler! Bruce Provost, (not sure about the spelling, he is the owner of BP Pro Shops!
After retiring, and during his pro days, Drilled balls for some of the Big Names, in bowling. He still gets orders from all over the world to drill balls.
So why not mobile drilling, WORKED FOR HIM! After getting married, as the case might be for you, he decided to stick around home, and raise a family. Hey, you would have 10 million bucks,,,, you could afford a wagon train of campers, bring you family with you if that's the only problem. Don't you enjoy ADVENTURE. TRAVEL, BOWLING! I would jump on this scenario in a snow ball minute,,, and EVERYONE knows that ICEMAN don't like SNOW!
PISSING IN SOMEONE Else's POOL.... tell me MIKE you wouldn't take business away from another driller if you had the chance.... YES YOU WOULD!
Its like any business, if you want to survive, the more you sale, the better the volume, the higher the profit! Great analogy Mike,,, never really thought of drilling balls, to pissing??? LOL
I do agree, after careful THOUGHT, (maybe .02 of a second, that Aslan traveling with you, might be Cruel and inhuman punishment, tittering on the level of Water Boarding)!!!

LOL...and think about it: who would you trust your bowling balls with....some drifter rolling through town, or your local pro shop guy you already know?
LIFE is all about taking chances... LOL Look at Aslan,,, Mike drill's all his balls! I rest my case! LOL.... OK,,,, OK,,, Mike I know your response even before you reply to this... YOUR NOT A miracle worker. You can only drill the holes, then its up to the bowler to make it work! That Bruce guy I talk about, does a great job also on the Tri-Grip.... fly on down and let him fit you with the Tri-Grip! Could be a game changer for YOU! (:)
Then, I believe, after the fitting and measurements, anyone should be able to copy that pattern. THE FITTING in regards to YOUR PERSONAL measurements is very important in regards to the Tri Grip. Not sure how many Tri-Grips MIke has measured, and drilled, but I know Bruce, here at BP Pro Shop, has done MANY. He himself throws nothing but tri-grip, and I have seen many people personally benefit HUGELY with this new fitting!
One middle aged woman, that had never had a 300, bowled her first 300 game with the grip. Its on the BP Pro Shop facebook site.
Although, now that I think about it, if Mike came through here I'd let him drill up an old ball with the tri-grip system just to see what the fuss is all about :D
It's not a fuss,,, its a great grip..... thumb out quick, better balance of ball in hand, thus more accurate! Come on down to Liberty Missouri and have Bruce fit you with this GAME CHANGER!! (:) They bowl a few games with Iceman, and The Dude. Make it a Dream vacation..... LOL

Actually I prefer not to take business away from another driller.
If the driller goes out of business, who is going to be there when you need something done to your ball just before league.
I price my merchandise to make it competitive with the internet. That means very small margins.
I make my money on providing services. Drilling, surface maintenance, etc.
I make enough to pay my expenses at work, and at home.
I'm not asking my customers to put my kids through college, or buy me a fancy home or car.
I'm an anti Gordon Gekko, greed is not good. Greed breeds criminals.

Remember, ICEMAN has serious problems in regards to bowling balls. I have WAY TOO MANY to even remember their names!! LOL
This summer I have been digging out ones I purchased and trying to wear some of the NEW OFF the surface, break them in so to say!!
Now at the NEW Bowling extablishment where I bowl, Gladstone lanes, (Brunswick, which is new to Ice, I have decided on the summer league to
start narrowing it down to the balls I will be using this coming Fall, when I bowl for the Big Marbles!!
This DEADLY AIM is by far one of the hotter balls I have purchased in some time.
As I have mentioned the AMF lanes were very good to me... LOL.. and Aslan will testify to that, ( he FRICKEN brings it up ALL THE TIME!)
These Brunswick lanes are turning out to be VERY GOOD TO ICEMAN, at 65 years old too!! LOL Sure I might not look 65, and have the body of a 29 year old, Rock Hard simi solid,,,,, But then I am ICEMAN! (:)
Since second game last week I have used ONLY the Deadly Aim, and my spare ball with that new technique of palm UP release!
233, 258, 211, 255, 218 two different nights 4 different lanes... average 235
I will keep this thread updated each week as to the Good, the Bad, and the ugly!!
So far since pulling it out, and staying with it I must say,,,, the FRICKEN BALL is REMARKABLE!
TIME WILL TELL.... stay tuned!! LOL
But in the mean time,,, ORDER you one too.... don't be left behind,,, its MAGIC for this old super hero!! It's even improved my sex life!! Who needs pills when you can use Deadly Aim to hit your target!!

My bowling buddy, just got his last week, and he is VERY IMPRESSED with his,,, had a 242 Tuesday but he is getting it broke in, and making adjustments to its unique angle to the pocket! I think he is going to do a 800 in the near future! I just hope I get it first!!! LOL

Well tonight I played the whole first game with the Byte.... DON"T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT! Too Snap,,, hockey stick for Ice! But then I was playing the outside not the inside, why?????? Threw a few good ones and thought it might be the night for it, being a new ball I would like to get some use out of it!!! Too erratic playing the outside.
THEN AS GOD, and Geneo2u, on this site will testify I pulled the DEADLY AIM OUT, and 233, and 230! Last game could easily have been in the 250s, but lost my balance in the tenth frame working on a turkey... did pick the spare up!
So for 3 WEEKS NOW MY AVERAGE WITH THE DEADLY AIM is 233, 258, 211, 255, 218, and tonight 233, and 230! USING IT ONLY for 7 games
3 week usage,
234
Geno2u on this website was my witness! WOW,,, WHAT A FRICKEN PIN DESTROYING BALL IN ICEMANS HANDS! It was made for ME!!
I really think I am going to order a couple more.... can't even imagine, or even want any improvements. ITS PERFECT FOR ME GAME!
Geneo2u purchased one and then smashed his middle and ring finger hooking up a boat!! I know when he gets back he will be tearing up the wood.
Gene is a great bowler, average around 220, some a little higher!
Remember ASLAN,,, "THIS IS A NEW ESTABLISHEMENT... not the AMF that you thought was easy.....!! EASY WHEN YOUR ICEMAN!!! LOL,, LOL

As long as that deadly aim is working I would continue to throw it in leagues and tournaments but I would continue to practice with that byte you never know when your going to need that inside line. It's an adjustment I have a tendency to get caught up playing inside or with very tight lines when I would be better off moving outside or bellying it out a little more.

So I wanted to try out my Freight train, and DV8 rucus for at least ONE GAME.... I can't understand why the the DV8 Rucus, takes a huge dive the last foot or so.... (Remember this is the ball James surprised me with, by drilling it pin down thinking it would give me a nice STRONG gradual Arc.
IT has that hockey stick movement right at the end. The Freight train, I gave it a 500 grit, and just left it that way to see how it would react on the Brunswick oil it was WAY TO aggressive, might have worked playing the inside, but didn't really have the time to play with it, only 10 frames I allow for experimentation!! (:)
This week I started with the Deadly Aim had a average game of 213, and then put it away until the 3rd game 209!
might take the DV8 Rucus to a 2000 for next week just to see if it takes that BIG Snap out of it! IT LOOKS GREAT up to that last foot or so.
So for 3 WEEKS NOW MY AVERAGE WITH THE DEADLY AIM is 233, 258, 211, 255, 218, and tonight 233, and 230! USING IT ONLY for 7 games

Well lets see,,, 233, 258, 211, 255, 218, 233, 230, and 213, 209. average using the Deadly Aim only for full 10 frame games. is now? 229 Not one of its better outing, but my average is going up... even with not using it for ONE FULL GAME.
I will stick with this, only because I want to know how other balls react compared to the Deadly Aim! So far, its been one hell of a ball!
If it keeps doing its thing, I might just be tempted to purchase a couple more!
That would be a FIRST!!! Other then the UNDEFEATED ball by ebonite. I did get two of them! Maybe Hammer will give me a couple!!
That would be COOL,,,, Ice...

This ball is now on my radar. Might become a part of my arsenal in the next eight weeks. Keep checking my signature, may retire two visionary balls.

233, 258, 211, 255, 218, 233, 230, 213, 209, 215, 210 = average 225.6
Geneo2u,,, was there to witness this, and has been with me while doing this CRAZY quest with the Deadly Aim. Yes I should probably stay with the Deadly Aim on the Brunswick lanes, but the whole purpose of this short summer league is to explore different balls, and try out new styles of bowling. I have learned quite a bite this summer about using different balls, and playing the lanes differently, and surfacing my arsenal.
Maybe,,, just maybe a person even my age, can play at the 220 average, and not have the GIFT,,, ((( ON various bowling establishments, AMF, and Brunswick, HOUSE OIL))) Bowling both at the present time so its a learning curve going on!!
Sports patterns is something I am looking into at the present time, Hard To Find one, and no luck so far. Geneo2u would like to bowl with Ice if we can find one, and the hours work for both of us.
far!
Well the Deadly aim on the Brunswick lanes has given me the best scores so far in regards to all my arsenal... 225.6 The scores above ARE IN THEIR PROPER ORDER! I have been dropping the last few weeks,,,, I just hope it holds out the next 2 weeks!!
I am not asking MUCH FROM THE BALL,,,, just give me a 220 average using it! IF IT DOES THAT,,, IT WILL BE my go to ball this fall at Gladstone Bowl.
Geneo2u, will testify to its 200 plus every time I use it on the Tuesday evening mixer!
2nd game 242
