not sure what my pap is any more id like to stay with roto grip balls so if you got any ideas let me know Uproar was the ball i was looking at

updated ball spped 17-18 rev 325 i know my pap has gotten closer to my thumb hole but havent had it checked in a while thanks in advance

If I was going to get a Roto Grip right now I would pick the Hyper Cell.
Right now my wish list in order is 1. Deadly Aim 2. IQ tour Fusion 3. is a toss up between Zero Gravity and the Hyper Cell

You might want to fix that crack in your bridge before it expands or starts to chip out.

My son has one, as Gene knows, He found out how much hook it had compared to his mid range staring ball.

Gene makes that Hyper Cell look real good!! My son is brand new to bowling but I am sure he will bowl up a storm, with that Hyper Cell. Gene, me, Mike, James are on a Monday league together. Gene has help my son a bunch!

IT was a huge step up from his starting ball the lights out, which has served him well! He wanted to move inside and to do that he decided to get a sold ball..... The Hyper Cell looks like a great ball in the right hands!

The Columbia 300 "Bud II". Yup...that'll make you the best bowler ever. I mean, if you haven't made the PBA Tour yet...it's obviously because you only have 5 bowling balls. That 6th one is the ticket!

i am building a arsenal a hypercell would just add another 1 to my 2 heavy oil balls one is drilled as strong as it can be drilled pretty much the other one is a basic drill my scream is a light oil ball and i can stand on 30 throw to 15 and still hit the pocket just cuz a ball hooks it does not make it a good ball also aslan ill have to check into that one never really liked columbia and aslan i bowl sport shots and tournaments so the more bowling balls i have the better the odds are one of them will match up with the lanes ;)

You might want to look at the Roto Grip Wrecker to add to your arsenal. Some people feel that the Uproar would be a good fit between the Shatter and the Wrecker.

Regardless of what ball you decide on, you might want to try something that is not pin up, just to give you a different look. Everything you have is drilled snappy.

just curious , what 2 balls that u have do u consider heavy oil balls ??

i try to play the right side what would a pin down do towards my ball motion if i am not mistaken wouldnt it give me a earlier read of the lane?

Pin down layouts are not necessarily earlier, but they do produce a longer transition which results in more of an arcing motion than a snapping motion. They are smoother, and often easier to control. You might also consider a neutral pin position, 4X4X2 using the Storm VLS, which are the most controllable, producing an axis migration path that goes across the ball rather than up or down. If you track the ball near the thumb and fingers, stay away from pin down layouts, but if you track away from the thumb and fingers, either a pin down or neutral pin position should work fine for you. The idea is that it will give you a different look, for when your pin up balls aren't working.

Not really, you got sym, asym, a some spread on RG's, pearls and solid.

Maybe try a Hybrid and do a different layout like rob suggested on it.

If you would get the Roto Grip Asylum then when you ball goes nuts you can place it next to the asylum and it can get some professional help.

Actually the Asylum may be what you are wanting if you are wanting to stay with rotogrip

yeah if those are strong for you , stay away from the hypercell , balls like the hypercell and the brunswick mastermind , make those look like polyester lol, maybe something like the asylum to fit between the absolute and the shatter , u have a little gap there imho.

i ma make a video of how they all react dont forget the way the ball is drilled affects balls reaction as well ;) that hammer absoult hook was drilled to strong

but u are right they arent the strongest balls on the market but plenty strong for me

I gotta try and catch my Mastermind on video, while throwing my plastic/urethane ball release.

Last time I did it, the ball went from 8 board at 39 feet, to the left gutter at 50 feet. It literally hooked off the lane.
