Went to pick my spare ball up after getting it re drilled today and bowled one game while on my lunch break. Wasn't my highest score but I had the most strikes I've ever had in one game. XXXXX6/X8-XXXX=242. Ten strikes in one game.

Thank you. It would have been nice to bowl more than one game yesterday to see what kind of series I could have put together.

I need the spare ball. I tend to leave a lot of 10 pins. It will take some time getting use to throwing a ball dead straight like my spare ball does. I did get to throw it two times yesterday. Threw it just like my roto grip and boy I tell you what. Dead straight and 4 mph faster than my roto grip. That will take a little bit to get use to.

I rolled 24 games with 9 or 10 strikes before this - 277, 278, 279. It was getting frustrating. I finally got the 11th strike and I felt so relieved. Everyone was like awwww when I missed the 12th but I was smiling ear to ear - I really lost focus after the 11th strike and I didn't care what happened at that point - crossed over yanked it and threw brooklyn for a ringing 8. Now I want to get a 299 and a 300 to round it out.

Always a rush to be that close. I have always been VERY nervous when I get past 8 in a row. Any time I make it to the 11th or 12th ball, my legs are like jelly.

I agree with you completely. I've had I don't know how many 277-278-279 games and have put together a Varipapa 300 but never gotten 11 in row award or a 300.

so Frustrating to have people ask you how many 300s you have when the guy 2 lanes down with 20-30 pins less average throws one and having to tell them none. :(

Very Nice. I liked the plaques better than the "bronze" little trophy things. Would like another 11 in a row award before they go away as well. Older pic of my awards, now with 5 rings. :cool:

Nice. That is a great idea how you did that. I will have to dig up all my old awards and look at doing something like that. I just got a 225, 250 and 75 pins over average this year as well. I have a league high average patch somewhere and some other ones.

I can't claim the idea. My wife surprised me a couple years ago with it. I had my patches and pins in my bowling bag and 3 rings in a curio cabinet. She pulled the patches etc out of my bag without me noticing and got the shadow box from Michael's or Hobby Lobby store and put it together. :cool:

Have a ton of magnets stuck to the water heater in my garage and lots of keychains hanging from a peg on my workbench.

I had one of those back when I first started bowling almost , 4 years ago, got a little trophy on the seniors league with the score, 298. Eleven strikes in a role then two pins still up in the 3rd box of the tenth.

Next year on that league had a 290,,, can't remember the exact way it happened, but have the trophy to show for it.

Then I decided at age 63/64 I decided to go sanctioned leagues and last season had two 300's! What a trip that was at my fricken age!

While I've never shot more than 7 in a row (did that twice)...I did shoot 10 in one game once for a 256. Would have been an 11-in-a-row had I not left the 7-10 split in the 5th frame. :mad: A single 4-pin in the 1st frame...and that 7 & 10 pin in the 5th away from sanctioned perfection. : (

The other time I shot 7-in-a-row it was for a measely 223. Guttered in the 10th and then only picked up 7. Fraptastic finish. :mad:

I never shot 6-in-a-row (except for the 2x I shot 7-in-a-row). Shot 5-in-a-row 10x.

Walled up is one thing but you still have to be off the charts consistent with release to carry the corners on a long streak. Anyway, thought that stat would interest some of you.

Only once in a game (About 6 weeks ago), I threw 10 in a game, but not in a row. It is the 2nd highest game I've thrown, yet it was easily the most frustrating. Think about it... 10 strikes in 1 game, and a 235. The scorecard looked very close to this: X X X X 8- X 6- X X XXX. My 2 non-strike frames were open. Talk about unhappy.

My record for consecutive is 6, which I've done 3-4 times.
