So I decided to go with the Track LX16 and I couldn't be happier with the selection. Super aggressive ball, however, it is still controllable. First 2 series were 669 and 714. I have league tonight, so I am hoping to continue this run. Thanks to everyone for their input on my last thread. Hoping to take it to Nationals and have a good run in Reno!

Congrats and good luck in Reno. When are you going? Will be there Memorial Day week.

I will be there June 5 - June 10; we bowl on the 8th and 9th - It's my first time going. I'm super stoked just to bowl in it. I've heard tons of stories and could really care less if I bowl horribly. I think it'll be fun regardless.

That's a good attitude to have. Last year was my first time. It is a great experience and can be humbling.

You have time to get some practice on the patterns before you go. I am sure there are centers that can put it down for you if you ask.

Yeah, there are a few here in town. I was doing some research on the new pattern this year. Seems to be the same pattern, they just stretched it and lowered the volume. I have been meaning to go to Nationals for years, but have been sporadically participating in leagues. (I play a bunch of other sports as well) My age is catching up with me and the nagging injuries are piling up LOL - so I have decided to focus primarily on bowling from here on out. Just need to get that first 300 game and it'll be cruising from there LOL

Might check this thread:
http://www.bowlingboards.com/threads/16311-Mo-Pinel%E2%80%99s-Radical-Approach-to-the-2014-USBC-Open-Championships

It has info on both of the patterns being used.

Great info! I like the analysis. I didn't know that they aren't moving between doubles and singles... that could make things interesting

The D/S events will still be tough with the higher volume, but should develop more hold area if the lanes are played right by all bowlers on your pair of lanes.
