This weekend I spend over 13 hours at a bowling camp put on by Vanderbilt University's Girls Team and coaches. It was for my 12 year old daughter who has only been bowling for 1 league so far. They did a great job running the camp. We also got her a new ball the Columbia 300 Takedown, moving her from a 10 to 12 pound and finger tip grips.

Surprisingly she did very good with the extra weight and grips. They bowled at least 4 hours each day mixed in with class room teaching stuff. All the bowlers were dragging with a lot of sore thumbs!

anybody ever looking for something like that and is in the middle tennessee area i would check it out. link below.

Awesome! Sounds like a great time. Did you pick anything up for yourself in the way of tips etc?

I tried to get my daughter into bowling a long time ago and it never stuck with her. I remember I started her out with a Spongebob ball.

I did learn that some of these college girls can really throw the rock!! The assistant coach is a 2 time NCAA Girls bowler of the year.
