I haven't seen any activity from his facebook page in like a year or so. But I had this email address if you want to try it: rlshockley53@yahoo.com

I'm worried I'll email him and find out he went bankrupt or something then it'll make me sad.

I heard through the Grape-Vine that he is in deed in hiding! (Worried that Aslan might ask him for HELP)! Reading some of Aslan's posts, (not of the Cliff Note Kind), he couldn't take it, and decided to hide out with some surfer chicks in Florida!

Sounds like he's got a new gig in Florida at some lane working through Kegal.
He also said something about a "tour rev rate". I've heard that "tour speed" is 20-21mph and I guess according to him "tour rev rate" is 450-500rpms.
Not sure I agree a person MUST throw that hard and at that rev rate to be successful. I think you DO have to have that rev rate IF you are going to throw 20-21mph. But if you have THAT speed and a lower rev rate or THAT rev rate and lower speed…I think you could have problems. But I don't know why you couldn't have less speed and less rev rate? I guess max pin carry would be the main reason?

He never said you "must" throw that kind of rev rate. I'd bet he meant that's a typical rev rate of an average pro bowler. Remember...pro lane conditions aren't as easy as the typical house shot. They have to have that rev rate to CREATE backend.
It's kinda' like someone saying 6'2" is MLB pitcher height. You don't HAVE to be that or taller to pitch in the big leagues. That's just an observation of what IS.
As for Richard Shockley...I met him in the late 80's or early 90's when he drilled a few balls at Brunswick Gwinnett. Nice guy & several folks I knew enjoyed working with him as a coach.

I don't think those guys throw that fast on a consistent basis I would love to see something on what their average speed and revs are I'm going to guess about 18-19 and 400-450. I know some of them get it up there and probably a large portion of them can but I don't think they do that on average
