Tonight I bowled with the wife and mother in law, its always a good time! I brought my mom in laws Brunswick Triple Crown home with me, to give it a nice clean and polish on my new spinner. She has had this ball for 20 years so she claims, and has not even wiped it off. So I had it out in the garage and it cleaned up pretty nice, and is still in really good shape. But the light scratches and such, got me bothered. I was about to do a resurface job on it. So I tried to do some research on it to find the finish, but can't find nothing! Does anyone know?

I know it's a plastic out of date ball. But she does well with it, she can still knock off a 215 with it. I either want to finish it properly for her. Or buy her a ball cup to set it on a shelf, and buy her a new ball. If anyone can please help!

I don't think you will want to resurface the ball since it is plastic. The only resurfacing I would consider is if you wanted to throw some polish on it, but that may cause it to skid more and I doubt that the current surface is close to polished. Just give it a good cleaning and all should be well.

Thank you for the reply. I did clean and polish it, and it did turn out good, I just wanted someone else's thought's on it before I tried to go any further. I think I am gonna try to talk her into a new ball, she is due!

Many people would say, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' In this case though, I think it'd be a nice gesture to get her a new bowling ball. If she's bowling 215 with a 20 year old plastic ball, imagine what she could do with a bowling ball with some new resin or pearl technology. As always, if you do get her a new ball, get it fitted for her and you can't go wrong.

That's what I am thinking, shes been on this league for years, just a casual for fun with friends. She usually hit's 170-180, but have seen her crack the 200's on many occasions. She like's my wifes Diva, and has rolled it a few times (there hands are almost exact). I've been talking to her about the advantage of modern equipment. I am going to see my pro at the end of the week to get some work done for myself, so I'll drag her along to pick something out. Thanks for your input!

That was an idea, that way her and her daughter would have mates..LOL, I talk to her about this yesterday, and she's going with me to my pro shop, but she can pick out whatever suites her, she is a wonderful lady. It would be nice to win that ball this week, it would save me the expense!
