Wife went behind my back and scheduled a lesson for me with Susie Minshew. She knew I wanted to book a lesson with her before I went to Reno a few weeks ago, but schedule did not permit it.

June 15th I will go to Ft. Worth and meet with Susie for a 1.5 hour lesson.

Susie is a USBC Gold level coach and is author of several books about bowling. Very excited to meet and learn from one of the great coaches of our time.

Should have a video analysis that she will provide as part of the 1.5 hours, and I think I will task my daughter with filming some of the lesson for me as well.

As stated, Suzie is one of a select few Gold Level coaches in the country. I first met her years ago when I first started writing for BTM to which she was also a regular contributor. We would talk from time to time, usually when I had a question for her. What a great Fathers Day present. Make good use of your time with her!

Shush...don't tell Iceman, or he'll rain on your parade.

Great gift, enjoy every moment and be sure to report back for those of us who truly believe in "coaching"!

I kid a lot,,, granny,,, If I had your money I might ,,, MIGHT take some lessons myself! I think it was a very thoughtful gift too!!
Good luck with the lessons! If she allows you to film it, that would be cool!! ice

I have always believed that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, and lessons can refine raw talent, and in his case I am SURE it will help a bunch!

VERY NICE GIFT!

Don't worry. I'm taking a youth bowling seminar Sunday so I can give Iceman some lessons when we eventually meet up. Free of charge.

No doubt! We've got a silver coach here in town with whom I'd love to be gifted some lessons!

Thanks all. I agree, my wife does indeed rock.

Some articles by Susie posted on Bowling This Month regarding lessons. Gives an insight into what I will experience first hand on Sunday afternoon. Hope to have video to take home with me that day.
