Hi everyone, new member here but have been reading many posts here for a few weeks. I really enjoy how everyone helps each other out here and pulls each others chains here! Seems like a lot of fun and a great community to be a part of.

Started out bowling not even a year ago for a league using a house ball, then to a Brunswick Karma. Now I recently got a Storm Optimus and love it! Use to bowl with left foot on the 25th board now on the 30th with moving my target left 5 boards. Begging new to bowling, not familiar with all the terms and lingo, but I really enjoy the back end and how it keeps the pins low. Trying to break it in before the new fall league starts. Dos anyone else have the Optimus? Thoughts?

I just read another review of this ball by a guy bowling on the Senior Tour, and he said something I have never heard before about this ball. He raved about how it performed even though " it does lane shine quickly ". I have no idea what this means. Anyone ?

Lane shine means when a ball starts looking a little shiner than the original box surface after using it for several games.

I just got an Optimus and I love it. Was going to mess around with changing the surface and wondered if anyone has experimented doing this on the Optimus? I was thinking going 4000 then shine and also try 1000 then shine (I like shine), just to see which rolls better for me.

Every new ball is the next big thing.

People are always looking for a ball that blends out a tougher condition and still get the corners out. There really are few of those than we think and i think this is one of them. I know my next ball will be this one.

I've only seen one person throwing this at the moment and he had a pulled muscle at the time but it looked okay didn't knock me down. Of course it looks good in the vids but I'm pretty sure those guys could strike with my daughters ten pound Maxim and make it look good. I need to see more people throw this one first.

I watch a lot of pba and pba50 qualifying on xtra frame and there are many people throwing it. The hyroad was the same way and still is a go to ball. The optimus just seems to have that motion i like, very even yet still has enough pop right at the pocket.
