with the fall league right around the corner, is there anything in particular that you are doing to get ready? me personally i am still practicing consistency with my release, timing with my approach, but currently i am trying to practice on broken down or dry lanes. i will be bowling in a wood house this fall, one that typically dry's up pretty quickly. seeing is how i cannot move any farther left (comfortably) i am practicing loft, speed, and power, to help help clear the fronts and destroy the back end (yes i know a urethane ball would fix all that, but wheres the fun in that?) any whoser, what are you practicing or preparing for this fall?

I am working on my timing and release. I am also working on switching between balls in my lineup more effortlessly

yes that is another thing i will be working on, i try to get a fresh pair and only use one lane for 3-4 games so i can make my ball changes, then switch lanes and do it all over again.

I have been working on shorting my first step because i was getting the ball in my swing a little to early. Also working on ball speed control and spare shooting.

Moving further left. My goal is to play the fourth arrow comfortably as is is really as far left as I can go an still strike, given my lower rev rate. Today I moved clearn in to the fifth arrow. Didn't carry much, but I figure that if I can get so that I can hit the pocket consistently from the fifth arrow, then I should be able to play the fourth arrow comfortably.

Working on repeating shots, slowing down and my hand work. I got to shoot on highway to hell today it was shoot on dry lanes or shoot on a sport shot so I did what anyone would do and shot on the sport shot.

Still working on figuring out adjustments, and spare shooting with the new style I picked up this summer. It's been a bit trying, especially when missing the spares.

It seems like each week I'm working on something different.
This week I'll be working on:
- Trying to keep my elbow in.
- Trying to get more "under" the ball.
- Trying to get my thumb out sooner (without dropping it).
- Snapping my wrist (vs using my whole shoulder/arm)
One of the guys from the team we were bowling on Sunday morning (PBA experience league) came over and asked me how long I had been bowling. He said he noticed I keep my thumb in the ball way too long and am not getting my hand behind/under the ball enough. Granted, I already knew that. AND, it was weird that he gave that advice during the game that I actually beat him and one of teammates scratch...but, whatever.
I don't think he was doing it to try and get in my head. He claimed that him and his teammates saw me striking in practice and were worried I was going to really put up a good score against them. Of course, then in Game 1 I threw a 127...so I guess they stopped fearing me and started pittying my.
