Anyone else see the name of the newest Hammer ball! The BAD ***. That's right. Not a typo. I haven't seen any of the specs for this release yet, but with a name like that it should hook so hard it turns around and.chases you to the bar!

Just for the record, this forum censored the name of the ball, not me.

I kinda feel like Hammer was trying to get some of the DV8 lovers to jump into a hammer ball. Kinda not keen on the name. But hey if the ball gets the job done I don't really care what it's calls.

every new ball is designed to attract lovers of other ball companies, storm, hammer, ebonite, DV8, brunswick...ect doesn't matter the company

I don't know about this one I'm not a big Hammer Guy the price on this one is $165 anybody see anything here that seems to justify this price. The ball looks very much like the First Blood to me.

looks nothing like the first blood...

first blood: #15 RG (2.48) Diff (.056) asymmetrical
Badass: #15 RG (2.48) Diff (.048) symmetrical

I was referring to the look of the ball rolling not so much the numbers I realized that one was symmetrical the other asymmetrical. Watch a video of both an honestly tell me if you can see much of a difference? Maybe its just me.

the legend was originally priced at $165 as well, and currently the Black taboo is still 165 so i wonder what that means? lol if you base price on the predetermined quality of the ball tell me why the black taboo (2 year old ball) still costs more that the Legend (new release) when they have practically equal numbers, identical cores, only true difference is the cover stock.

can you read my signature? videos are designed to sell, and yes the first blood was one heck of a ball, the only issue i had with it was lack of continuation through the deck, it deflected allot.

and i have never had a ball that can do exactly like any ball from the videos, i had similar 350 revs and i very rarely could play a ball over the 5th arrow, and was always a little shaky playing the 4th lol

All very true points. It just seemed strange because there was something that just screamed First Blood too me. I have two guys I bowl with that throw that one so I'm very familiar with the roll of it. I guess when you keep 25 balls in your line up there is bound to be cross over. The videos never do me any good either with my low track everything starts earlier for me so I have to be careful with what I pick out.

shouldn't a lower track push further? high track means more forward roll and sooner turn, lower track means more lateral rotation and later turn? or do i have that backwards? since converting to Sarge Easter my track is allot higher than it used to be, which is why is still get the same amount of hook with lower revs, i just have more forward roll now than i used too.

Many of the balls coming out these days look the same to me on the videos(i.e. they all strike). I bought into the get a new ball hysteria earlier this year and got 3 new to me balls. Did I really need them? Not really. 2 of them I sparingly use, IQ Fusion and Uproar.

Uproar is just too flippy for me, I got it for dry lanes, but is definitely not a dry lane ball it was cracked up to be. Left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth listening to the ball reps talk about what the ball will do.

Unless I am incorrect Lower Track has more side rotation which causes the ball to hook earlier. Higher track is more up the back end over end so it goes longer. Not so much more or less hook as lower track is earlier hook higher track is later. I think you have the correct analysis just the wrong conclusion. If you are in the drier portion of the lane you might actually get more hook with a higher track as the ball is expending less energy until later in the roll if that makes any sense.

Because the Jet Black Taboo is an awesome ball!! It's two and half years old and is still one of the most expensive balls out there. Not sure why.

i dunno, i was always told forward roll meant earlier roll, now this is also based on your PAP, if i take your ball (low track, drilled to your PAP) and i throw it then yes i believe you will see that end over end motion, lower tracks tend to mean higher revs which is why it hooks more than lower rev high tracks, but high tracks do roll earlier.
