I attended the taping of the first PBA event at the Bowling Plaza yesterday: the Cheetah Championship. The facility is absolutely amazing! The seating for spectators is not traditional "bleachers," it features padded theatre seats with individual cup holders. It was really nice to be able to watch the taping comfortably for a change. It was also the first time that I have ever watched a taping from the media section and actually been able to see the entire pin deck on both lanes of the championship pair.

Southpoint has offered the facility to a local bowling club next Saturday night for a scratch ten gamer. The event has been sold out for more than two weeks, and aside from the 120 bowlers already signed up, they have a waiting list of another 40 bowlers in case anyone drops out. We are all really looking forward to bowling there.
