Check this out. FB friend of mine that bowls regionals, and was also on the record setting Championship USBC Open Team this past year, posted the below up of his 4 game set in league last night!

Wow, 1166 for a 4 game set is just insane!! 291.5 Average on the night.

Wow, that's some great bowling. Hopefully I can bowl close to one of those scores someday.

Yeah, sure that is ok........ But, he should really try to tighten up the focus on some of those fill balls. I mean, come on a 6 and a 7-10?? Focus dude!! All jokes aside, that is absolutely amazing bowling. I don't care what you are bowling on and with what, to strike like that you have to be a great bowler and super super consistent with ALL aspects of your game. Congrats to your friend!

Am I seeing that right? 34 consecutive strikes

EDIT - ah, no....there's an 8 in there.

I would even be happy with 17 strikes in a 3 game series. 34 strikes... one can dream.

Does this guy turn green, hulk out and bowl like this when you get him angry? Or does he just use his Jedi Mind Powers? This is insanely inhuman! You should have been looking for some kind of divine appearance of Mary over the lanes or something. He's got the "Iceman's Touch," he has!

That's an extremely impressive set! I'm not quite sure a robot would be able to repeat that...unless your friend is a robot :D Congrats to him!

There were two Lavery brothers that did well in Vegas at the Summer Swing (I think it was then)

One had a hop in his approach, and started out very well, and the other looked a little more normal, and made one of the shows.

If I've got the family right, which one is Anthony? Hopper, or non-Hopper?

You've got the right brothers. Anthony has the hop and did very well at the Summer Swing up in Oklahoma. His brother Sean also bowls regionals and was bowler of the year the year prior.

Just found out that Anthony has signed with 900 Global. He and his brother will be headed to Green Bay for the Masters tournament and then on to Indianapolis.
