I currently use the Vice Hada Patch Blue tape and like them. I buy the pre cut ones from ebay and they do feel like second spin. I only use it for protection against callouses

Are the Storm tapes linked here the same type, meaning are they super thin like the Vice Hada ones?

Thanks

I use the Storm Thunder tape its about 1/32" thick, so it pretty thin. It sticks well to the skin to.

Given if you have a problem with callousing you may need to have the your grip checked and the pitches adjusted.

I've used both the Vise Hada and Storm Thunder tapes. Used to use the precut Hada green and tried the blue. The Vise are pretty flexible and you can stretch them easily.
Now I've switched to the roll version and cut my own. In the roll type the Vise is still flexible. The Storm tape is a little less flexible and I'm beginning to like it a little better. Either will do the job and get your fit and feel to get your thumb cleanly out of the ball. Worked with the pro shop to get my thumb pitch moved more forward which has helped a lot. Also added the tiered tape to the front of the thumb hole to prevent my squeezing of the ball. That's worked nicely, too. Too many precautions I suppose... :)

Yeah I only tape the outside side of the thumb. The joint area is where I get friction. With tape all is fine.

May try the Storm tape
