Hi all first post here. I been out of bowling for a year or so but went to the southern. Bowling tournament in Birmingham this past weekend. I rolled a 300 game during doubles. My question is will I receive another ring for this being that I've rolled a 300 before back in 2008.I know usbc changes the rules for honor scores but don't know what they are. Thanks in advance

First off welcome to the forum.

If the tournament was sanctioned and you have a currant
sanction card then yes you should receive a 300 ring but
it will be the last one you will get from the USBC no matter
how many more you have. The once in a lifetime rule is now
in effect so you are limited to 1 300 ring, 1 800 series ring
and 1 900 series ring

Congrats on 300 and welcome.

If you had a 300 back in 2008, the USBC will not pay for another ring for you. You can however buy one if you like, once the form has been submitted to USBC and it appears in your list of achievements, you can call KeepsakeBowling and order your ring if you want one. You can also opt to have a plaque if you want that instead. You should be receiving a letter from the USBC regarding your achievement and in the letter will likely spell out the options I gave you.

Ty for the responses. Don't know what's up with usbc. Seems like they just trying to line their pockets. Sometimes I wish it was still abc. That's just my opinions though.

I know it used to be 1 ring per year for 300 games I didn't know
about not receiving one after bowling a 300 in 2008 I thought the
rules were still the same up and until the once in a lifetime rule went
into affect last year.

Once in a lifetime isn't from this year on(2014-2015 bowling year). If you had one(or multiple) prior to change, that is considered lifetime. They won't do a free one any more. Local associations may do something, but from what I have heard, that is few and far between on them doing something outside of USBC.
