After watching the first two weeks of the PBA League competition, I was really suspicious that the outcome was "fixed," with every match coming down to a roll-off to determine the winner. After today's semi-finals, it occurs to me that the reason for the constant roll-offs is the difference between the lanes. It seems like one team wins on one lane, loses on the other lane, and the roll-off is the result. I just wonder if the lane selection was done with lane differences in mind, or if the fact that one lane from each of two different pairs were selected was a cooincidence. Hmmm...

They said they picked lanes 6 and 7 because they were directly in the center of a 12 lane house.

Also each team bowls 5 frames on one lane, then 5 on the other, not the whole game.

Maybe the teams are close enough in skill, that luck is a large element in who wins.

i think the fomat lends itself to having a rolloff also. as the teams are pretty evenly matched it comes down to carry in many cass
