The ramp rolls the ball into the pins without any axis tilt, so it's the equivalent of a human having the ball roll out before the pins.
The slow-mo video of the ball going thru the pins was not using the ramp, because the metal at the end of the ramp extended to the beginning of the pin deck, but that was not visible while the beginning of the pin deck was.
Also the ball going thru the pins has an obvious non-flaring oil ring on it, indicating that it was thrown by something using more of the lane than the ramp.
The first shot the ball hits higher than optimal (the left most of what they indicate on the lane as the "pocket") as you can tell by the pattern of the 1-2-4-7 pins.
The second shot hits the optimal location since the energy is transferred from the 1 pin thru the 2 -> 4 to the 7 pin perfectly.
However since the ball has either rolled out, never rolled, or enters at a weak angle, it deflects too much to carry the 10 pin.
Bottom line, don't assume what they show you and what they tell you are directly connected.

Those 4 or 5 oil rings would seem to say it had a obvious flaring oil ring.

When the ball has less than an inch of total flare, it's a non-flaring ball.
It appears the be a Brunswick C-System versa-max, but that ball should flare a lot more than the video shows.

Saying that was non-flaring just because you saw one small patch of oil rings that appears less than a inch wide is ridiculous.
You cannot measure how much total flare that ball had from that video or that still frame because you can't see the widest point of the rings reached.
The still image is near the bowtie so is nowhere near the widest point the flare rings reach.
