I know some people like to take the summer off something I've never understood but to each their own. For those of you that continue to bowl throughout the summer what are you planning?

I will be bowling with my two daughters in an youth adult trio league on Tuesday nights and a 4 person mixed team league on Fridays with my wife. I wanted to do a PBA League this summer but the only one in my area this summer is on Wednesday usually like to practice at least once a week and can't practice on Monday's so that only leaves Thursday. Not sure I want to bowl Tuesday-Friday. SO I haven't made a final decision on it yet.

Monday night mixed trio started last night--that's all I'll do this summer, other than continuing to work on things.

Mixed handicap league on Tuedays, starting in mid May through August. Outside of that using as much time for practice on 10 pins/release as possible (video, etc). Not going to be able to get coaching this summer, at least right away, but that's still on the horizon too. Really want to push that average up over 200 this summer/next year!

I have always taken the summer off bowling, I just like to spend time doing outside activities. I realize that has hampered my continued improvement and this summer I am going to do something about it, I will be taking some lessons and practicing what I learned.

I will be bowing on my normal Friday morning league, and changing from Monday evening to Tuesday evening.

Will be doing lesson with Mark Baker in mid-May.

Bowling in a 4-day Funtime tournament in Las Vegas in mid-July.

Hope to practice more than I got to in the winter.

I'll be bowling a recreational league with my wife and two friends on Tuesday nights at Red Rock, and in an almost-scratch doubles league on Thursday nights at Southpoint.

Bowling in a doubles league with an interesting format: 4 games / match within against the opposing 2 guys alternating for 1 point each / 2 points for team game / 4 points for team series. Total of 20 points for the night. I like those type of leagues where its a match within a match.

I might bowl a doubles league. Worst case I will just practice 2-3 days a week.

Summer league starts this Thursday, at a different house than where I normally bowl. Ready for a challenge of learning new lanes.

I plan on practicing some to hopefully make a comeback to "A" scratch classic league bowling with some of the better bowlers in my area after a 12 year layoff. I just hope I would at least be able to average over 200 again. Steve

I'm planning on moving in the next month, closer to Anaheim/L.A., so I'm planning on staying for another season at the AMF center which is closer to that location. But for logistic reasons and because of some issues with my home center and their league bowler treatment…I think I'll switch to a new center closest to my new location.

But like Amyers, I don't really see a difference between fall and summer. I still do 2 leagues and a lesson every 3 weeks.

Well my first league of summer start tonight. It is a youth/adult league trio league which is going to be great because I will get to bowl with both of my daughters. When I have bowled this league in the past is has been doubles so they have had to pick who was bowling with whom. I'm really looking forward to being able to bowl with both.

I will also be bowling a Friday night mixed league 4 person teams league and I'm still considering a PBA Experience scratch league.
