Looking at the 3 balls today, I noticed a Medium, Heavy and Medium/Heavy. YET, the videos show the balls on a 38' 26 oil layout. How can you see what the ball will do on the conditions the manufacturer says they are made for?

The point of a benchmark is to give you a point of comparison. You won't know exactly how a ball will perform on a given pattern without trying it. Look at see the differences on the same oil pattern. This should give you a pretty good idea of how the balls will react and perform.

Honestly, I wish that they would show full games being bowled with each ball and not just strike shots in review videos from 4 different angles of the same shot.

I know I didn't really answer your question, but basically, without trying it, you won't know. Some heavy oil balls will still work on medium oil, and others won't and vice/versa.

That is the problem. I enjoy watching MOTIV videos as they show different drillings. One other site showed balls on fresh and used lanes, which is more like what we are up against.
