Ever now and then I want to pass on, what I think is some good advise in regards to health. Most of it will be natural ways to
combat many demonic illnesses! Some of this advise will come from a doctor I have a lot of respect for, and has the balls to go up against main-stream, and its almost strangle hold on any natural way to keep, or regain your health! I have cured, and increased my well being 1000 percent just following many of his thoughts and ideas.

This is an important one that many don't know about in regards to strong bones, and the use of Calcium.... Life saving information!

Any and all advise I pass on is just advise, I am not a doctor, nor do I recommend any of the information I present!

My hopes are to help many of you out there that just might be fighting illnesses, or just want GOOD HEALTH, and to feel like a million bucks. I know I feel that way with my life style changes.

I actually just started taking K-2 after my Dr. recommend I balance out my D3 intake. I've read there may be TOO much mcg in each LifeExtension pill. Do you take one/day?

In Michael's defense take a look at recent new. The NEW pink pill has received FDA approval AFTER being denied several times. What changed? Did the drug company change the fornulation? No. Was anything at all done to reduce the dangerous side effects that caused the prior denials? No. So what happened? A campaign both public and behind the scenes showing the huge demand for the product, bribery and blackmail. We could really use these governemnt agencies to protect as designed if only they weren't corrupt and driven by power and money.

Michael comes off as a looney tune at times but when you see the great physical condition he appears to be in, how can you not listen when he speaks about health and vitamins? If for no other reason than to fuel your own research.

For the record I have no problem agreeing that the Govt. agencies like FDA and others are totally corrupt and full of people being paid off by big business to act in their best interests....Not in the best interest of the people at all.
I have experienced some of it firsthand.
I also know that some of the big health supply companies are owned and or controlled by the big pharmacy companies, and make money selling stuff they probably make sure is minimally effective in order to control the market for natural products and vitamins....

Natural foods is certainly the way to go, all we have to do is look at the levels of all these new diseases and ailments to realize much of it is caused by the chemically laden food we eat.

Of course they do not want to cure anything, they do want to extend our suffering and keep is ill and alive for a little longer so they can treat us with big money making drugs.
That being said there are some exceptions now and then, might have been an accident that some drugs do seem to work.

I for one was just giving him grief about his word selection to start with and in another post responding to his comment questioning me be related to one of his antagonists.

My feeling in general is more of agreement that big govt and big medicine are doing anything but helping up, more likely they are poisoning up with all the chemicals added to food and medications intended to keep up alive but not cure anything because cured people don't buy expensive new medication, sick people do.

NOW…tap water is poisonous, every kid that sneezes loudly in class has A-D-D, the supplement/vitamin aisle takes up an entire aisle at Walgreens, 3 out of 4 men take a pill to get an erection, and if yu're NOT gay…that just means you haven't admitted it yet.

For a significant part of my life, I worked in the OTC pharmaceutical industry. For almost ten years, I worked for one of the largest manufacturers of vitamins and nutritional supplements. If you think that the FDA is not involved in monitoring the manufacturing of these products, you have no idea of what you're talking. I still remember the electric chaos that would spread throughout all of the buildings in that company when the FDA "dropped in" for a surprise inspection. I don't think that any one thing has led to the sorry state that our health care is currently in, but surely allowing companies to advertise prescription drugs on television so that you can "request" them from your doctor, along with the ads for attorneys offering to help you to sue some pharmaceutical company if you suffered from some side effect of a drug that was clearly marked on the packaging, both have something to do with it. And, as much as I hate to agree with Aslan, I do think that our societies blind reliance on plastic packaging has had a tremendous detrimental effect on our overall health as a society.

I also worked for 2 different pharmaceutical companies in my past lives. One of them made a powder from Human blood products that could be used to coagulate blood during a trauma situation. The other actually manufactured the flu vaccine.

In the 2nd case, pre-Avian flu outbreak, the company actually was inspected and cited by the FDA because the ceiling of the filtration building needed some work and despite the remote chance/risk, the FDA felt that the roof 'could' end up leading to possible contamination of the vaccine...so they demanded that it be fixed within a certain time period (a year or something). The company made very little money on the flu vaccine, they almost made it for cost as a public service, and it was a very long and labor intensive process. So, they decided to close down the manufacturing of it rather than make the repairs. Fast forward a handful of years and we had the big Avian flu outbreak and swine flu outbreak and everyone was clamoring for flu vaccine from all over the World and suddenly it became profitable to make...but I doubt that facility went back to making it.

But yes, the FDA is no joke. They DO inspect and it is NOT pleasant. And while they can be easily bought off with multi-million dollar donations to this politician or that politician...they are not just arbitrarily "in bed with" the pharmaceutical industry.

Every weekend on AM radio I get to hear televangalists predicting the end of the world, mortage brokers trying to get you to pay them a bunch of money to refinance your loan, cosmetic "miracles" for your skin, and what new supplement you NEED to be using to extend your life another 20 years. And at night, a guy comes on and talks about the "truth" regarding Aliens and the galaxy. I always wonder who buys into all that snake oil nonsense...now I know of at least one!

My health took a huge more toward the better, when I had this done, (removal of all mercury fillings 10 years ago) I then had to detox the damage done which takes some time, but WOW what a difference!

Related Note: One thing I find unnerving about our current social/political situation in the US is that we've completely abandoned Nationalism and have went all the way to the other side of the spectrum...essentially a Beurocratic Monarchy. Iceman is one of many, educated adults, that clings tightly to a belief that if it's in any way related to the government, then it must be a lie or a trick or a conspiracy. I'm not saying skepticism of a person's government isn't right...I think to some degree it's almost a responsibility...but Iceman refuses to see value in the FDA like an Athiest refuses to see any good that as ever come from religion. Like people that don't think Dinasaurs existed or that global warming is actually a 'thing' or that the holocaust actually happened or that we ever landed on the moon or think that September 11th was an inside job.

I talk to some co-workers and state that the best system, if we could make it work, for healthcare, would be a single-payer system. I give solid reasons why. I admit there would also be drawbacks and possible problems. But the whole time...no matter ho convinving the argument...they just simply respond, "Even if that's the best option, I don't trust the government to actually do it right. They never do anything right." To me, that makes no sense. In the short < 250 year history of the country...the government has went from a colony of a foreign power, to arguably the most dominant civilation in the history of the World. It obviously has done LOTS of stuff right!!! Granted, no group of people will ever be perfect and mistakes are made....but the idea that you simply get rid of every government thing ever created...and suddenly the country would be happier and healthier....there's very little evidence such a thing could work...and a mountain of evidence it would fail. Nobody understands history. They claim the Department of X is corrupt and unnecessary...but they never answer the question, "why did we create that in the first place?" USUALLY...if ya look back to BEFORE there was a Department of X.....you'd see that there were some rather serious problems or a significant event....that made that Department a good idea.

It's kinda sad if ya think about it...that a government OF the people is so unpopular WITH the people. Especially when you take every country in the World...and randomly pick out a name....and I can almost GUARANTEE...not quite...but I'm talking high, high % chance....that if you had a choice of governments...you'd take the US. Some of those countries don't have FDAs...and they have witch doctors with magical powers....which sounds cool if you're into that spiritual/natural healing thing...but the DOWNSIDE.....is....they don't have food, or clean water....and they are run by various factions of militants....AND there's no bowling alleys!!!

If ya don't like the FDA....change it!! But ya can't just drop it like you're Rick Perry. It serves a wide variety of functions including such minor things as making sure you don't eat tainted meats or bacteria ridden vegetables. It ensures Iceman can't poop in a can and sell it as pudding or claim his kisses cure eczema. But if you look at what happened back in the early 1900s...that led to the creation of the FDA and further increases in it's power/authority....it was a steady progression of drugs claiming to cure things that they couldn't and drugs that end up killing people. Just as Iceman is AGAINST this overbearing government organization...it was ironically the outcry of Iceman's grandparents and parents that forced the government to create the organization in the first place and twice dramatically increase it's powers and authority.

I think this point used to be true but is far from true at this point, we have grown from just part-time regular people in office to a system of career politicians and that has led to a system of the "elite ruling class" running the govt and in turn created a system of massive corruption.
Recall the last time we had a ruling system like this....and in order to remedy the situation we fought the revolutionary war.

I can only assume that you have never worked for a government agency and seen the totally inept and incredibly corrupt inner workings in action.
It's truly eye opening to see the massive nepotism, totally idiotic rules and policies, arbitrary application of said idiotic rules, and incredible waste of funds, not to mention that the work force is 2 to 3 times what would be customary in a private company to do the same amount of work.

While there were some true needs to be addressed, creating large agencies was usually not the best answer, the reason for creation of many of these agencies was totally self serving. Lets keep in mind who created most of these agencies and accompanying volumes of rules and regulations, think about for a second, who would benefit greatly from generation of legal conflict, and who was drafting these rules and regulations....lawyers. The people that as a group are arguably the most corrupt profession in existence.

Did you ever once wonder why so many of the laws are so vague and full of loopholes ? The reason is pretty simple, lawyers need work and since they are creating the laws, how better to assure they will have work than to make laws that need to be argued and interpreted.

So as a result the government that was created to be for the people and by the people is more like for the ruling class and lawyers and by the ruling class and lawyers.
If you even think you're going to tell me that we elected those people then you would be overlooking the massive election fraud that has taken place in this country.

@Tony...trust me...in California, finding examples of completely inflated, bloated, over-paid, over-powerful, and corrupt orgainizations/officials...not that difficult.

And I totally agree that the problems (main) are career politicians and how agencies tend to endlessly expand with little checks/balances. But in the case of the FDA...to say they don't serve a purpose and are too corrupt...puts complete trust in corporations and individuals to simply be honest. The FDA was created because people and companies proved time and time again that when left to their own devices/controls...they will do whatever is necessary to maximize profits and as crazy as it sounds to us nowadays...public safety and honesty about effectiveness....tend to be secondary factors when money is involved.

Ice isn't dumb....and he can fend for himself. But I think people need to be just as skeptical of a guy like Dr. Oz or these other snake oil peddlers that are using non-standard marketing techniques (weekend AM radio programs, infomercials, etc...) and "supplement loopholes" to make billions of dollars while never actually PROVING their products actually DO anything. And, much like religious evangelism...where preachers take in small donations from the poor and use them to build mansions and vacation getaways and luxury lifestyle...all on the backs of people that get fooled. Or the internet scammers...preying on people's good nature. At some point, many people just throw their hands in the air and say, "hey, if so and so is stupid enough to believe it...they deserve to lose their money. But at the same time, it raises the question...what role SHOULD government play? Instead of getting rid of things like the FDA...what changes can be made to get it back on track and less corrupt?

I've been on a lot of diets. And the last two I was on...both of them had actual books published by the creator of the diet with all kinds of explanations on how wesome their diet program is and how it works and how special it is....yet I didn't really lose a ton of weight and keep it off. And if those diets WERE all they were cracked up to be....I'm pretty sure given the money in the weight loss industry....nearly everyone would flock to them. So...a guy with a title "Dr." or that 'wrote a book' or 'has a show'... or God forbid their own website....that doesn't mean they're legit.

Like the self-made millionaires in real estate or the stock market that then get into infomercials trying to sell you their "program" on how you too can become rich like them. Why would they want to give away their secret to help YOU get rich? lf the sustem is so great....why don't they just keep using it to keep getting rich?? Kindness???

I'm absolutely lost in the point of these arguments. The only facts I can muster out of all of this is the "bowling god" thinks he is 100% right about everything (when it reality he isn't, because he isn't God or a god), and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to criticize him.

Politicians are corrupt, medicine is all kinds of wacked (we never really know what's right or wrong, except that we need a flu vaccination every year), and most government agencies are controlled by politics (though there are a handful of people who work in them who do care for the welfare of the people). What I'm trying to understand is why is a bowling community talking about (correction; quarreling about) the authenticity of medicine and politicians? It's just astonishing to me. If a person wants to believe in a phony, then let them. You can't change the opinion of a stubborn man. Simple as that.

As for the authenticity of people such as Dr. Oz and these snake oil merchants, I highly doubt most of what they say is backed by extensive scientific research. For now, I'll stick with what my doctor(s) says is good for me and what isn't. Seems to me like it's been working for these near 16 years I've been alive, and I don't think it's going to drastically change anytime soon.

I hate to see bowlers in pain,,, knee replacements, hip replacements... I solved my problems, RA, LUPUS, high blood pressure, and several other ailments without DRUGS.

Their are MANY good doctors out there, but they have to walk "lock step with what drugs, and procedures the AMA, FDA dictates! That's just WRONG for many reasons.... conflicts of interest being just one!

If you have a good doctor, that is open minded, then you are a lucky one. I would much more be inclined to see a naturopath, than a standard MD.

I base this on many problems that I have had that mainstream did not have the answers!

Can modern day doctors do some miraculous things... "you bet Ya",,, I am just saying many things they are not doing well at all, and are in many other researches just plain wrong!

Then maybe you should get a degree and become a doctor to 'cleanse the world' of all the 'medical injustices'.

Ice....here's the problem with that logic:

1) IF....IF there is independent scientific research that proves the effectiveness of the supplement/medication...then why not submit it to the FDA for approval???

Has your Dr. McGillicutty (or whatever his name is)...has he ACTUALLY TRIED to get FDA approval for his miracle ideas?

See...whether we're talking about medicine, supplements, vitamins, therapies, or cosmetics...you will often hear claims that their product has been "independently tested"...yet for some reason...despite this overwhelming research and all these independent studies...the producers of these miracle cures not only REFUSE to submit their research to the FDA for approval....but they actually spend BILLIONS lobbying congress to exempt supplements/vitamins from FDA scrutiny.

Thats like (to relate this to bowling) Iceman claiming he rolled a 900 series on sport conditions but didn't bother to submit any paperwork or even really tell anybody....and in addition, he paid the USBC to "not look into it".

If the science is there...and 2000 mg of Calcium a day leads to longer lives and cures everything from the common cold to cancer....and Dr. McGillicutty is SO SURE of this that he had "independent studies" done...then why stop there??!!! It seems you'd almost have a MORAL OBLIGATION to get that calcium supplement approved by the FDA as a medicine so doctors can start helping patients!!! And why waste BILLIONS of dollars to lobby congress to exempt your product when you're product is SO scientifically awesome!!???

2) These guys have already been exposed as frauds. It's like Amway and Herbalife...they claim they are a legitimate business...yet numerous lawsuits (most settled out of court) seem to show otherwise. Dr. Oz actually claimed he never made many of the claims he did...apparently he didn't learn that TV shows are often recorded when he went to "Dr. school"....and we can literally play back his claims of a "miracle drug" that he claims he never made. He had to testify in front of a congressional panel after making outrageous claims about "miracle weight loss" treatments. He claimed some bean was a miracle weight loss cure...and the maker of that bean was sued for false advertising and settled the lawsuit for 3.5 million dollars.

So...much like creationism...much like the 9/11 conspiracies....much like anti-global warming...if we take in ALL (emphasis ALL) of the information that exists...ALL of the studies...ALL of the research...ALL of the lawsuits...you end up seeing rather clearly that while there may be some rogue study or rogue effort to legitimize certain things...the evidence is OVERWHELMINGLY against it.

Do I believe Aliens exist? I do. Do I believe they visit us and live among us? No.
Do I believe God created the universe? I do. Do I believe it happened in 7 days approximately 6000 years ago? I do not.
Do I believe that humans contribute to global warming and that global warming exists? Yes.
Do I believe 9/11 was an inside job? No.
Do I believe the holocaust was a hoax? Absolutely not.

And it's not just being a 'sheep' or an FDA employee...I think it's actually more 'sheepish' behavior to follow along with these conspiracy theorists. Dr. McGillicutty is like a shepahard...herding small flocks into certain pastures and hoping they don't ever realize that if they wanted to (the sheep)...they could probably just scatter and the shepherd wouldn't be able to stop them. But it's EASIER to just go along with it. ANd it makes people feel good because they 'figured it out'. They're super smart and enlightened...while 95% of the public are dumb morons. That makes the sheep feel good...because they are in some way 'better' than everyone else for having figured it out. And once the sheep adopt that belief...it's almost impossible to turn that tide. Because they've put SO much time and money and effort into believing it...that abandoning the the cause is nearly impossible. In poker we call that "pot committed". It's where we put the rest of our chips in or call a bet we normally wouldn't...because we're just already too invested in the hand not to. It's why Nazis continued to fight for nearly a year after it was fairly apparent they couldn't win.
