Greater Tulsa Open Tournament - 2015

Time again for the Tulsa tournament. This will be my 3rd year bowling this tournament and have been mildly successful in the tournament.
Each of the past 2 years have had the high game for the weekend and won the high game award.

Hoping for a good outing this time as well. :cool:

Day one of the tournament in the books. Bowled singles and doubles today, team event tomorrow afternoon.

Was in the pocket pretty much all day. Several bad shots due to tugs and a few that I let sail out a bit further than I wanted.

Singles first 223-222-232 = 677

Moved one pair to the right and then Doubles, 226-227-268 = 721. Partner had 675 so we sit at 1396, I think will hold up pretty well in total. Using last year scores as a comparison would put us in Top 5.

Here's the frame by frame. 7/7 10 pins for the day. Only missed 1 makeable spare, a 6-10 conversion where I just did not put anything on the ball.

Day two in the books, shot well again today. We were second squad for team event today and the only ran the heads for us. Back ends were flying. Used my newish Storm Ride all day except for first frame on a test shot that didn't the way I wanted it to. Glad to have a good dry lane ball, was finally able to use it in some competition.

For the weekend, 677-721-678 = 2076. Extremely happy with way I shot all weekend. Made few dumb shots and left a few easy conversions. One of my team mates shot even better at 2160, he threw it really well.

Team didn't do so hot today, aside from 702 team mate shot and my 678, next highest was a 505 and low of 469. The rest of team struggled mightily on the burned back ends.

Have to wait until December to see how we ended up. Hope fully we made it into the cash.

Through 3 weekends of bowling, I am sitting in 15th place scratch. Some regional/national PBA members from the Dallas area bowled in Tulsa this past weekend and I am ahead of them. 1 of them I am ahead by 3 pins. :cool:

You always do good here in Tulsa. And I'm always out of the state on the weekend you show up ha ha ha.
