I found and bought an undrilled ball at a flea market for 5 bucks. Does anyone have any information about Konan KGC Vesuvius? I can't find any information about it online and it doesn't show up on the USBC approved list.

Wow never heard of that before? Curious if anyone else has. Is it a reactive, urethane, or rubber ball?

Konan, thought he was a late night talk show host !
I have never heard of it, could it be something other than a bowling ball, or one from another country that someone brought here ?
You could always drill it up and use it for a practice ball, or use in an unsanctioned league, if it's not an approved ball.
Shouldn't it have a number on it if it's a USBC ball ?

I'm betting it's an Asian ball.
Agreed. I noticed when watching the team world Championships that the Korean team was always throwing something that I had never heard of.

Here's a couple pics of the ball and its box. I can't see a pin on it, and I'm not sure what the cover stock is. I'd say it was "harder" than my reactive or my wife's plastic, if that makes sense.
(Sorry, my uploads fail for some reason)

This intrigues me for some reason. Do you have a photo of it?
I've done a ton of Google-fu on this ball, including going to Asian bowling sites, and haven't found a thing about it.
The name Konan suggests Japan, as there are a number of towns around the country named Konan. Vesuvius also makes sense for a Japanese/Asian country, being in the Ring of Fire, because that volcano destroyed Pompeii. Thus, I'll bet a Konan Vesuvius will really make the pin deck erupt.
I'd be interested to see what the markings look like.

Definitely looks like an Asian ball, possibly American made, and quite old.
Are there any etchings (other than what's pictured) on the ball itself, or any other numbers/marks elsewhere on the box?

A bit off topic but my dad bought an old bowling bag from Goodwill and had 1974 (or was it 1984) rule handbook :). At the back of it were the league standings that year, typed out
