My first tournament of the season....

I was contacted by a guy I bowled with in high school the other day. His team lost a bowler due to unforeseen circumstances and needed a replacement. So tomorrow I'm in a 5 man Baker-style scratch tournament. Should be fun.

Sounds like fun, I'm not a tournament bowler so I've never been a bowler in a Butcher,Baker, or candlestick maker style tournament !

I have wanted to bowl something like this but I haven't seen anything around me. Should be and interesting format and one where teamwork is key. Good luck today.

We won! We bowled 12 games of qualifying where we qualified 3rd. We went all the way thru best-of-five match play winning 3-0,3-1, 3-1. The tournament raised money for the local high school bowlers. It was just for bragging rights.

It was a good day. We raised over $700 for high school bowling. Like I said, it was just for bragging rights.

Thanks everyone. I had to practice Monday in order to slow down everything. I wish that house would have had the ball speeds showing. I had to be throwing it close to 20 mph. It took me 2 hours to stop throwing my ball through the breakpoint. I was consistently leaving two pins or 2-8-10's. Frustrating night
