Dear Everyone in the boards....

I joined these boards 16 months ago, shortly after my first league season. In that league I started off throwing a straight ball using house shoes and now have thrown my first 300. Without a doubt I know these boards helped me evolve as a bowler greatly. By no means would I say I am a great bowler. I wouldn't say I am a above average player, but I would say I am a decent to good bowler. My goal from the start was to improve over time. After my first season I averaged 160. Last year at the end I averaged 170. Before I had serious issues with the 7 and 10 pins and now the 7 isn't an issue and the 10 pin...well it's the 10 pin. But I am able to knock it down a lot better. When ever I struggle I come. The boards to seek advice. Luckily there is usually a post already on the topic that I am looking for. And if not, or if I just can't fine it, there is alas someone on here willing to help. I enjoy the community. The discussions, debate, etc. I truly enjoy this place and all the characters that make it.

Thank for for making me feel like part of this dysfunctional family or sorts. It's a great place and I don't know where my game would be without it. Cheers!

Timmybl I have that ball and love it. I won it here on the boars a while back. Haven't used it recently since I have the Haywire, but I'm going to bring it back out. Just feels so right in my hands.

Congratulations on the 300!!! I have not gotten there and now I don't expect that I will. Turned 70 this year and still bowl pretty good but not a 300 contender I don't think. My son, however, said yesterday he is zeroing in on his first 300. I hope he does. And even though I still beat him once in a while I will be proud when it happens for him. Keep going!!

I know exactly what your talking about Blomer. I've gotten a lot of great advice and found a lot of enjoyment interacting with the others here. We don't always agree on everything but usually their are some insight in every post.

Yup. Although, I threw my first (and only) 300 after a couple years on these boards as well...it just wasn't sanctioned so I don't count it anymore than throwing a 99 in practice.

But I'm glad to see the positive feedback. Lord (or Bowl1820 in this case) knows we get enough negative feedback...nice to see positive feedback.
