Having not been chosen to win the Haywire for countless times over the past several months since its release, decided it was time to buy one. Got it on a Black Friday "special" that was just a bit cheaper than what bowlingball.com would be and someone I know drills it up for me.

I also have been bowling in some local tournaments and they are sponsored in part by Brunswick. I have never thrown a Brunswick ball and they were selling the Nirvana at the last tournament for about $60 less than any other site so I couldnt resist and I bit. Wanted my guy to drill this one up to be strong. Will see when I finally have a chance to throw it this weekend for some practice.

I've been intrigued by the Nirvana. Your Haywire is drilled, similar to mine. Please let us know what you think after you get to use them.

My spans are 4 9/16 and 4 11/16. Fingers are actually kinda small, size 11 and 41 inserts. Thumbs are Vise IT without my slug in them.

Love my haywire ..started out on dry lanes on Sunday so I counted the haywire out of my ball selection . could not get anything to read the lanes where I was comfortable so during the 3rd game I pulled out the haywire which fit the conditions perfect unfortunately I only had 6 frames left . Had a lousy day. If I had just started with the haywire ...oh well hind sight is always 20/20

Got to try out the new balls yesterday for a few games. Was with my brother and nephew, so couldn't get too many games in. I think I am really gonna like the Nirvana. The Haywire, from my early reads of the lanes, was very touchy but looks awesome rolling down the lane. Have to get more games in with both of them. The Nirvana had some great pin action when it hits the pins.

From the videos Vdub it looked like your breakpoint with the Haywire was far too inside on most of the shots. Where as you had the Nirvana out to a better breakpoint.

Thanks scotty. Yup, seemed the Nirvana makes it's way through the heads better before turning up. I purposely posted not just my good shots. Pulled a few of those with the Haywire and playing different lines just to get a sense of what each ball would do.
The Nirvana sure flares A LOT! Had a bowtie about 6 inches wide and each line spread about 3/8-1/2" apart.

I noticed it as it is one thing I have really worked on. It seems to have helped me a lot to control the breakpoint.
I will tell you the Haywire looks very impressive in person. I watched Brad Angelo throw it when it first came out and with his ball roll, it looked pretty great.
