Purchasing Abralon Pads

I was talking to someone about Abralon pads. I was looking on EBay and saw that most were sold in a combination of grits and then others where you can select he combination of grits of your choice. Is it best to get a variety of grits? How often are these needed to be purchase? How often do you use them?

I'm still on the verge of buying them or not. They aren't to expensive. Might be good to have in my bag. I was having issues with a ball, but someone bed it for me and seems much better.

Bowlingball.com occasionally has some really good deals on them. I have accumulated a collection from 500-4000 without spending much money. As a starting point you can get the final step for a particular ball - which is usually all you need for a 10 game or so refresh. I also have some Siair pads and they seem to last longer, but cost more upfront.

Other than refreshing every 10 or so games by hand, more extensive stuff will require a ball spinner. So if you don't have one you won't need abralon pads for all the lower steps as you will still need the proshop to do it.

Thanks in eBay they sell them 5 pads for $14.99 and free shipping.

I use siaair pads for they are similar in price and last longer than abs. The Abs pads last 4 to 6 ball cycles, but using water will extend the usage. Siaair pads last twice as long. I also use 3M trizact pads for they come in 5000 and last much much much longer than these other two pads.

Yup, I have switched from abralon to Siaair. They do last longer.

Have been thinking of trying NEAT pads next time I am needing supplies.

I order in 10 packs from here as well. Have for a couple of years now and know I heard about it on this site but not 100% sure who posted it. But I am thankful they did.
Anybody find a good site to get the NEAT pads from yet? A lot of sites list them but won't add them to the "cart" yet.
