Used Haywire for all three games. Most happy about 4/4 on 10 pin conversions

Spares = 62% (10/16)
Single Pin = 100% (8/8)
Multiple Pins = 25% (2/8) - Gotta work on these. 3 were splits and one was a full rack (gutter ball). Although did pick up hard (for me) 3-9 leave
Opens = 18% (6)

Thanks. I have been terrible with my 10 pins. In practice could never get it. For league night slowed down my release and voila. Hopefully it keeps up.

Spares = 56% (9/16)
Single Pin = 100% (6/6) - So far 100% this season. And again 4/4 on 10 pin leaves.
Multiple Pins = 30% (3/10) - Again have to work on these and leaving splits. 4 splits and one washout. But did pick up 2-4-10 split.
Opens = 20% (7)

Multiple Pins = 33% (2/6) - 3 splits. 2 in the first game along with 2 missed 10 pins killed that game

If anything I'm consistent. No 600 series yet but hovering just under 200 average.

Single Pin = 62% (5/8) - Terrible 4/7 on 10 pins tonight. The only other single pin leave was a 3
Multiple Pins = 57% (4/7) - Percentage went up due to only one split tonight (7-10)
Opens = 18% (6)

At least I'm consistent (series wise, not these three games though)

Finally got my first 600 series after flirting with it the previous weeks. I know it's only 1 pin but would have been frustrated with 599 or 598. I knew I had to throw a strike on fill ball last game to get it too.

Odd night though, many "good" pocket shots leaving 10 pins while getting strikes on light mixers with good pin carry. Team split 2-2.

Goes to show you how important spare shooting is. Lost 22 pin count in game 2 due to 2 missed 10 pins.

After getting strike on 10th frame of first game left a 3-6-9-10. I saw the sleeper 9 pin and threw it pretty good with the ball hooking back into the 3-9 but guess didn't have enough energy to knock down the 9 pin (knocked all the others down)

Generally a terrible night. Could not hit a 10 pin to save my life. Also thumb started swelling up and by third game it was hanging and I kept tugging the ball. Should have switched balls. Played two games after league with 900 Global Respect and shot 220+. Oh well.

That missed 10 pin on 10th frame last game cost me a 600 series as well as a clean series. Hey at least now I have a 597, 598, 599, and 600 series :).

I was really killing myself after that last missed pin though. Wanted that clean series. Strikes weren't on tonight but I felt really comfortable with my spare shooting. No splits tonight and the hardest conversions were (2) 2-8 leaves. That sleeper pin in the back is always tricky.

Honestly, I hit the pocket consistently tonight, just not good carry. No brooklyn strikes or weird mixers. Release felt better and smoother and I was happy with most of them. Just have to remind myself to keep hand behind ball more for more forward roll and try no to over rotate as I get bad reaction with increased side roll.

Haywire for most of the night. Sprinkled in a few tosses with the Respect because I was frustrated :)

Single Pin = 80% (8/10) - 3/5 on 10 Pins last night, 24/36 for season. I have abandoned my spare ball. I am using my strike ball and releasing from deep left side of lane and adjusting my wrist. I do feel a lot more comfortable and am converting more or if I miss it's by inches. Before with spare ball either I got it or missed by a mile with ball going into gutter 30 feet down the lane
Multiple Pins = 38% (5/13)
Opens = 31% (10)

Worst league night so far. Have to tell myself to not get so down and thing of this as an anomaly. Release just never really felt right. Did pick up 3-10 baby split and always tricky 2-8 (a lot of practice on this leave lately). Lot of missed bucket leaves.

I've been drinking water throughout league night and my thumb has been swelling because of it. I was down to 1 tape in thumb hole last game and probably should have went without any.

On to next week...

Opens = 15% (5)

No clean games. Two missed 10 pins from first game. No other 10 pin leaves for rest of night. One game from "triplicate" (not sure if they give out medals/awards for them)

I detoxed and resurfaced my Haywire last week. Slowed down my ball speed and ball is reading the lanes better.

I would say I had 2-3 cheap strikes where it was a bad light hit and lucky pin action. Otherwise was in the pocket most of the night. Spare shooting was a bit off. Chopped 6-10, gutter at another 6-10, etc...but my good strike line saved the night. I believe my scores would have dropped significantly if I didn't have as many strikes as I did. Should have added another piece of tape to my "spare" (Respect) ball as my thumb was kind of falling out early trying to go for right side spare leaves

Wheels just fell off last game. 4 open frames and only 1 strike will do that to you. Left a Greek church in second frame. Definite lane transition. Was never really fully able to adjust and it bit me.

It is frustrating when you throw two solid games (to me anything above 200 is solid) then just go in the toilet.

I've been hovering around 190ish for a while now. My goal is to get to 200 average for the season but don't think that is going to happen.

Boy, I saw a lot of this during the week from a number of guys on here, including myself. I think a bunch of us (myself included) are getting beat by not including the fact that it's getting warmer out, and this is killing our last game. More than one of us has had a sub-150 third game in the past week.

Either that, or there's a bug going 'round.........:rolleyes:

Yes I did. Rode the Haywire. Honestly I don't really have an Arsenal plan but the wise move should have been the Unhinged

I've been bowling on a travel league that is five man teams this season and filling in on a 5 man men's league. It has made me much more aware of making moves and changing balls as the lines just don't last that long but watching them has really made me understand that if it's starting to go sideways make the move and don't wait. If you've got two good ones in the books those other balls over there collecting dust aren't helping you.

Haywire for first two games. Respect for last game. Seems both teams were off last night. Majority of higher average bowlers bowled well below their average. Ball was over-reacting down lane. Very skid-flip. Switched to Respect last game and was able to at least salvage the night.

Spare game is still a bit off, especially 10 pin. Went back to spare ball for 10 pin and never felt comfortable.

Only split was greek church 11th frame of game 2

I didn't count but I swear everyone that played our pair had at least 4-6 10 pin leaves.

Terrible night. First game I just wanted to walk away. At least picked it up the second and third game.

Used Haywire most of the first game. Ball was not coming back when I was playing deeper (standing on 32 board, my usual line). Switched over to Respect and played a bit straighter (standing on 26 board) and was able to hit the pocket most of the time after first game. But when I missed it was washout or split (to me might as well count a washout as split, it's still as hard to convert). Although I did convert a 1-2-4-7-10 washout.

Still using my Respect for 10-pin conversions. Did better tonight (3/4).

Overall a bad night for me.

Strange night. Started with Haywire first game then switched to Respect for last two

My first "zero" frame ever in league. Second game, second frame. Gutter on first ball, foot foul on second. Ouch. Guttered again on first ball in 10th. Working on 2-bagger so paid max penalty for that gutter (losing 30 pins). Guttered again in third game.

On top of that had three splits in first game, one of them being a greek church. One in the 10th was the 3-9-10. Pretty much as impossible as greek church.

For second and third game played straighter with my Respect and was getting good ball reaction if I didn't toss the ball into the channel. Of all my strikes, only 1 was brooklyn. Even the ones that didn't strike they were in the pocket. So it was feast or famine night for me.

Multiple Pins = 46% (60/128)
Splits = 9% (3/33)
Opens = 21% (95)

Overall not too happy over tail end of league. Not sure what it was but not blaming lanes. It was all me, both mental and physical.

Wanted to end with at least 190 average and just missed it.

Next week is final week but they don't count scores as it is our money week. Strike with color pin = $5

On to Summer "Get Your Gear" League and get me two new balls :)
